The refs totally blew it at the end of the game when they allowed the Mercer bench to call a time out during a scramble for the ball with 1.9 seconds left on the clock. Only a player can call a timeout during play. Needless to say KD was not pleased.

The referees were the youngest I have ever seen at a D-1 game. At one point the foul differential was 22-14 in favor of AF.

Ivey is just fine. He has played a bunch. AF is a very disciplined team. They are working the back door to perfection. We are getting open looks from 3 but aren't hitting them. I am in Savannah.

I doubt that GT has been replaced as our dedicated staff reporter. He will continue to write the in-depth stories but this new guy will actually attend/watch the games and write the game stories when GT is not available. To my way of thinking, this is an improvement from stories written from "Staff reports".

The new HD feed at the JAR is supposed to go into service on January 1.

I agree with the substitution rule being a problem. As far as the clock goes, who cares. Forty five minutes is 45 minutes no matter how you count. Up or down.

KD is quite happy that the band was moved to the other end. Better that the other teams coach has to scream at the top of his lungs in the timeout huddle

Miami has 78 players on their roster who are Freshmen or SSophmores. That is how you build a winning football program.

GT interviewed KD at practice yesterday.

The Zips played their best at the end of the season. All of those games were lightly attended and the guys did just fine.

AJ would not have been a good fit with the Zips. He is pretty soft for a player his size. I wish him luck at OU but I trust our staff to recruit guys who are a good fit for UA.

Based on what I saw on the sidelines last night, I would assume that Woodson is done for the season. It appears that his shoulder injury is much worse than they have been letting on. Chapman is clearly not a capable QB so they better get Goodman all the reps in the next weeks practice.

It looks like not true. After closer examination of the warrant it appears that he did indeed detain an adult female student.

Were you expecting an NBA All Star weekend quality of event?

The November week night game 2 years ago were the temps where around 0 was much smaller.

Next year is Bowdens make or break year. I will give him a pass this year but if we don't really contend for the MAC championship next season it's time for a change. The MAC east is ripe for the picking and we are still not even good enough for better than a 4th place finish in the west. The possibilty of getting a bowl game with a 6-6 record doesn't mean you have a successful program, it means there is glut of bowl games. I feel like we are running somewhat of a renegade program. Taking all the chances on transfers is not helping with recruiting 4 year players that should be the backbone of the program. Trying to hit homeruns every season with somebody elses rejects is not the way to build a consistant winner.

What exactly would that role be? From what I saw during Pats tenure with the Zips they did everything in their power to make him the focal point of the team.
