  1. I don't think that's a fair comparison...Noah's record is with Antino, and Antino's record is without Noah. On the road, at K.e.n.t, Antino had 16 points (4-6 from behind the arc), 7 assists (vs 2 turnovers) in 33 minutes. Committed only 2 fouls. Antino makes things happen. He's proven he can run the team under as adverse a set of conditions as you'll see in the MAC. He's a different style of point guard than Noah, but he's shown he can be equally as effective.
  2. Sad to see the some Zips fans begging for the referees to bail them out. Kretzer allowed the guy to have an open lane to the hoop. 6 foot, 9 inch Kwan backed off and let him have an uncontested layup at the buzzer. 39 minutes and 58 seconds of an awesome team effort was pissed away in the final 2 seconds. That's the facts. Own it.
  3. You are high. Kretzer let the guy have the lane, and Cheatham backed away in the low block and let him have an uncontested layup to win the game. Unreal.. Great effort by the Zips for 59 minutes and 58 seconds. Weak, or no effort in the last 2 seconds, and it cost them the game.
  4. Big Dog can barely last 20 minutes. If Pat can give us 8 minutes, take it. There is no tomorrow. It's K.e.n.t. Cut the toe off if you need to.
  5. I've seen McAdams go for 50% of that by himself. Someone needs to step up tonight. Kwan..McAdams...Deji...someone needs to be a "man among boys." If that happens, the rest of the team will follow.
  6. I think a win tonight would mean a TON. National television. #1 rival. On the road. The final game before the conference tournament. If the Zips can pull this one out, they go into the MAC tourney believing they can win it all. Even down to 8 scholarship players, the Zips are as good as anyone else. The Zips need to play like a wounded badger tonight, and fight like hell. Let the rest take care of itself.
  7. I heard Dambrot picked up the phone, said "Karma is a bitch," and hung up.
  8. That certainly is the key...because we all know the success it's brought over the past 5 games.
  9. Care to pick the over/under on Monday's attendance @ the JAR? I'll go 2k. Probably too high, but I'm an optimist.
  10. Lost in the excitement of the Zips possibly reaching the 20-win plateau yet again (and boy is it a plateau) is the fact that our 17-0 streak remains intact!! The Zips didn't lose the lead versus Miami until the 5:23 point in the 2nd period, so we're STILL 17-0 when we've had the lead at the 5-minute mark in 2014-15! No one finishes like the Zips!
  11. "Potential" with Jake and Reggie? They'll be seniors next season. What you see is what you get with them...streaky shooters who are more "off" than "on," and whose defense is mediocre at-best. Jackson and Gladden both had opportunities to step up and make an impact in 2014-15, and neither distinguished themselves. That's not to say they can't, but they rely too much on size and athleticism, and will need to do a lot of work over the summer to become stand-out D1 basketball players. The Zips annals are overflowing with players who had 4 years worth of "potential."
  12. Ibitayo should have played more minutes this season.
  13. The Dials/Joyce/Middleton/Roberts era was arguably the best of Dambrot's tenure. We should have similar quality and depth at guard next season, so maybe that gets us back to when we could beat a Florida State or Temple in the NIT. Can anyone step up and take the #3 spot next year? If we are a combined 4-deep at the #1 and #2, we're 0-deep at the #3. We have 4 bodies, but none took hold of the position in 2014-15.
  14. Diggs/Harney/Treadwell didn't care about the "lesser" tourneys. If they were still around, and I was Dambrot, I'd have declined a bid. But a CIT/CBI bid would have been a good experience for these Zips, had Robotham's injury not occurred. I think this year's team had the moxie and team attitude needed to embrace one of the "other" tourneys and make a run. Without Robotham we could still win a lesser-tourney game, I guess. Those tourneys are full of teams afflicted with DiggsHarneyTreadwell-itis, ripe for the picking by a young, motivated team. But 1 win is pretty-much it. Hoist another CBI/CIT 4" x 6" banner into the JAR rafters, and move on to 2015-16...
  15. If Dambrot wants more foul calls, he needs to trade his 3-balls for shots in the paint. Simple as that. Then, he needs guys that can hit their free throws.
  16. You guys forget - even if we lose the next 2 games, the CIT awaits. Yet another opportunity to reach the vaunted 20-win plateau, beating up on the 8th place Horizon League team. Hopefully they're a lot worse than the MAC's 8-place team.
  17. If you are going to include the "loss" of Harney in your list, why not bemoan Betancourt's crippling departure?
  18. And we have a winner in the category "All-time Most Misleading Statistic." Kudos to whomever had the deceptive gall to pen that one.
  19. You don't suddenly miss someone who's been out since mid-November. You miss someone who's been here since mid-November, contributing mightily, and who's suddenly gone. Our recent slide has as much to do with Tree as it does Harney.
  20. You'd go with Tree over Robotham, huh? Bizarre observation after 28 games.
  21. If by MACC you mean a "Memory About Coleman Crawford," I'm in agreement.
  22. I agree. Like 3-week old milk.
  23. When your as deadly as the Zips are from the 3 point line, you gotta hang out at 40 feet.
  24. "The Zips are gonna blow it." "Holy Crip Crap" Go Frenchy.
  25. Can someone post that on the Zips locker room door?
