  1. I had to go with the core rather than any one individual player since the Transfer Portal is always prowling around, seeking whom it may devour..
  2. Oh yeah, I guess that would abut the soccer field.

  5. My Fearless Forecast™ last week was for the Zips to cover the spread. Seeing how that worked out, I'm projecting the Zips to win but not cover the 7.
  6. https://gozips.com/roster.aspx?path=wlax Looks like a great group and most of them wouldn't be @Akron sans lax. I will circle March 25 on my calendar - Beat Kent!
  7. What are we constructing now??
  8. It will be interesting to see what happens. IDK if Tosu would take him as a KR/PR but some other B10 schools probably would. I could also see him in the AAC. We would be lucky to get him.

  10. https://gozips.com/news/2017/9/19/general-university-of-akron-looks-to-bring-back-mens-baseball-add-womens-lacrosse.aspx "Another key component of this plan is that any athletic scholarships provided to student-athletes for these two sports will come from community financial support – not University funds."
  11. I've lived through the PJ Fleck era at WMU and Urban Meyer at BGSU and I can tell you having a ranked team can infuse excitement into a program pretty quickly.
  12. @Buffalo players may be getting paid soon: https://www.natlawreview.com/article/new-york-senate-bill-to-require-student-athletes-to-share-university-ticket-revenue Basketball, football, soccer....
  13. The radio guys also praised him for his sound decision making as a punt returner.
  14. Fearless Forecast™ : TA covers the spread. Best I can do for now.
  15. Shedding the baseball athletic scholarships was the right thing to do. If they can still field a competitive team then great.
  16. That broadcast was kind of a cesspool with the host criticizing the Zips defense for not playing mean enough.
  17. And the over/under is 52.5 ... since we know Troy will put up about 40 the question is whether the Zips can get 12-14. Being an optimist, I'll take the over.
  18. +16 open and creeping up..
  19. And they are thinking the same thing about us, unfortunately..
  20. They will be watching Burkhart like a hawk so he will be more of a decoy this game. I expect to see some runs and scrambles not to exceed 130 yards. Zips will need to show me they can get it done on the road against anyone ... I have to give the edge to McElwain's FBS experience in a close contest.
  21. If it's about foundational fundamentals and writing our story maybe we should have more of them for other aspects of the game as well.
  22. Let's hope we see plenty of it this weekend and no one gets their eye put out!
