  1. Yes he is. It seems to me he is the go-to scorer we always wished for.
  2. I will expect Pres. Wilson to become an honorary non-Mormon for that game BYU-UTA game on espn2 in one hour...
  3. Thinking about it more, I'm sure he made the wise decision. USF is down to 8 players, maybe less, and it would (will) likely take at least a few years to get back to competitive status in the AAC and a chance at an NCAA berth. At Akron the chance to win the MAC tourney is there every year, even if not a top seed going in. If the progress at USF was inadequate after 3-4 years and he's let go, he might be done for good at this level. At Akron he can likely stay as long as he wants. The extra money in the AAC would have been nice for him but he doesn't really need it and in the long run the additional security at UA is probably worth more.
  4. Let's hope us or Kent can make a little tourney noise. And let's hope the MAC gets a little better next year because right now it is moribund.
  5. How is Duqesne's roster looking? Chances are any open job is not going to be stocked with great talent or the previous coach would not have been fired.
  6. And for the ABJ's part, will they send a reporter to an away game?
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if we traded down a couple seeds in order to choose to go to Houston. Farkin ESPNU though...I would have liked to watch some of it.
  8. Seems arranged/requested, perhaps mutually. I guess there would be nothing to prevent that in the NIT.
  9. I can see it happening for a lot of reasons: 1. Where should an AAC progrum look first for a HC? Probably the ranks of successful, proven "non-P6" head coaches. 2. As someone posted earlier, USF needs some basketball stability in the near term. 4-8 years is a sufficient timeframe for now. He wouldn't be in the AAC Final year in year out as with the MAC but then again there would be the possibility of at-large NCAA bids. 3. The window for KD to recruit & coach with a nicer facility is starting to close. I think we are all seeing UA's ceiling by now and if we find it frustrating, imagine how he feels. The USF Sun Dome is a magnificent college arena (their facilities issue is on the football side). 4. Metro area of 3-4 million, #11-ish national media market so the potential for a large following and great attendance is there. 5. What is the AAC average salary? IDK, but probably more than the MAC. Look at the bright side: if the AAC ever gets raided and has to bring in some new members, he would be a great ambassador for us
  10. Yes. I mean at some point boredom sets in...
  11. I don't see this progrum turning down an NIT appearance stat and hanging a banner. Wouldn't it be nice if the banner said "NIT Final 4" ?
  12. If we don't show up and play with conviction in the NIT then KD truly should be fired, as well as the AD. They are being paid well to represent the university.
  13. It's 11:17 and........we still need a new arena.
  14. I doubt if that wins the MAC Final, let alone a tourney game. Our defense has not been consistently that good.
  15. Shooting is always the problem in the big arenas. Take it inside and draw fouls for 40 minutes...guaranteed W.
  16. Yes. Jealous Tired of seeing UB going on to the NCAA.
  17. http://www.cleveland.com/pluto/index.ssf/2017/03/cleveland_state_scribbles_thre.html Terry Neptune suggestions for CSU: Jermaine Kimbrough, Jeff Boals, Geno Ford
  18. VCU, Wichita State and Dayton to join UConn, Memphis and others in AAC? https://www.vcuramnation.com/2017/03/vcu-wichita-state-dayton-join-uconn-memphis-others-aac/
  19. Condolences to his family. Let's go out and win one (MACC) for the GoZipper!
  20. An NIU writer's take: Severson: MAC schedule shows top priority is money, not athletes http://www.daily-chronicle.com/2017/03/01/severson-mac-schedule-shows-top-priority-is-money-not-athletes/anx0szz/?page=1
  21. Is Shaka Smart on the Hot Seat at Texas? http://herosports.com/news/shaka-smart-on-hot-seat-texas-longhorns-basketball-cccc
  22. So they should cut down the nets during pregame But I guess that makes it more difficult to see when the ball goes through the hoop during the game
  23. Only once? Come on, gotta step it up, Zippy!
