  1. After today's results, the oddsmakers are going to have fun trying to figure out a line for Zips vs. Mountaineers.
  2. Oh, apparently it's just the ESPN games that show up on YT. I just searched for the AR St. vs. UT St. game that was on CBSSN last Sat. and didn't find it. So scratch that option I guess
  3. It seems that every game gets posted to Youtube. Look for it by Sunday, Monday at the latest.
  4. His presenter should be the one who gave him a chance to play 1-A college football: Gerry Faust.
  5. Quite a few "dismissed" players on that list, maybe some will transfer to other schools
  6. Yes, hopefully their progrum won't be up to speed yet. I'll bet TB's Alabama history & connections had something to do with this.
  7. NIU enrollment down 5.5 percent http://www.daily-chronicle.com/2016/09/07/niu-enrollment-down-5-5-percent/avjxwfq/ “Certainly we continue to face challenges that all Illinois higher education institutions confront, most notably Illinois’ continued population decline and the state’s continued and persistent status as the nation’s second-largest exporter of high school students to other states for higher education,” Baker wrote.
  8. Now I'm seeing a 16.5-17.5 line
  9. Good question but it probably wasn't going to happen in the paycheck game since there is no pressure/expectation to win at Wisconsin and they don't want TW4 to get banged up before the winnable/conference games. Yes. Yes. I turned the game off when we were still lining up offsides in the 3rd quarter.
  10. The Badgers will have plenty of opportunities to prove how good their defense is very soon. To their credit, they moved up another spot in the AP by holding down the Zips.
  11. Technically, LV did attain Zips Fan status on this board but he had already won a previous award as I recall so I doubt if he will try to collect on this TFT
  12. Watching the replay....lest anyone think WB carelessly dropped the ball after the long run, it was a textbook roundhouse knockout punch to the pigskin by #25 Tindal before any real contact that knocked it loose. Of course you want to always protect the ball but Warren was clearly trying to take it all the way (which we would have needed him to do).
  13. They play Ga. State this week and then it's @MSU, @Mich, Tosu, and @Iowa so as good as they are they could be 3-4 by Oct. 22.
  14. As Detwiler mentioned in the broadcast, App. St. has a top 5 OL
  15. I don't think he's had it since he got remarried..
  16. http://buchtelite.com/32033/news/out-with-the-old/ "Meanwhile, Scarborough has joined the faculty as a professor in the business college. He is teaching two courses on strategic management and health care this semester." I'm assuming the Buchtelite would know if he wasn't. Seems very awkward though. I wonder if he found a place for his mother in law.
  17. That stat is helped by the fact that your conference scheduled included Purdue, Rutgers, Illinois, Maryland and Minnesota and didn't include Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State.
  18. No mention of the game or the Zips on the Zips' flagship radio station website, WARF 1350 AM ( http://sportsradio1350.iheart.com/ ). How embarrassing, I feel like our new AD is not learning to do a good enough job of begging for exposure. I will give them some credit though and assume they will start the pre-game show before the game, not after as posted on GoZips.com http://www.gozips.com/sports/fball/2016-17/releases/20160906f71eqm The Big Ten Network will televise the game with Matt Delvin (play-by-play) and Stanley Jackson (analyst), calling the game. The Zips' radio broadcast will air on the Akron-IMG Sports Network [SportsRadio 1350 AM (WARF) in Akron (flagship), 1420 WHK in Cleveland, 1440 WHKZ in Warren/Youngstown] with Steve French calling the action, Brad Detwiler providing analysis, and Joe Dunn with sideline report. The pregame show starts at 6 p.m. ET. A free audio stream is available at SportsRadio1350.com, iHeart Radio, and TuneIn.com/Akron Zips. Since the TV broadcast will be on the B10 Network, not ESPN/3, are there any plans for a watch party in Akron?
  19. He will get his yards, their TE will get his yards, but I don't think their QB Houston can hurt us too bad throwing downfield; he threw a couple of picks against LSU.
  20. If they have success overwhelming our inexperienced o-line, I hope TW4 can burn them with some scrambling and/or throwing on roll-outs. We didn't show that much on Sat.
  21. Iowa has a running back named Akron Wadley.
