  1. Is it safe to say "de-commitment" is an oxymoron and players no longer "commit" to a school? It seems a new recruiting term is needed.
  2. What are the definitions of the words "commit" and "commitment"?
  3. I left this as a private poll so I am not able to see individual votes. If you voted for under 300 passing yards allowed (280 actual), under 100 yards in penalties committed by the Zips (72 actual) and under 17K announced attendance (15K+ actual), you are a winner! Also, board settings do not allow a non-moderator to close a poll which means people can vote after the fact. As of 11:00 a.m. Sat. I noted the majority voting was 21-3 for under 300 yards passing allowed 16-8 for under 100 yards penalized 13-11 for under 17K announced attendance So the voters as a whole were correct on all questions.
  4. Worth a 5th round pick, I would say.
  5. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=college football injuries Warren Ball has suddenly disappeared from a couple of the injury lists...not sure if it means he's ready for next Sat.
  6. +1. And it was a pretty solid 2-2, very close to 3-1 even with the D being banged up and lacking depth. I think we're still going to need a few key transfers on D for next year. I could see the Toledo/WMU games being similar to the ASU game. Hopefully Ball will be healthy and we can have fast starts and score more than 38 ppg.
  7. http://www.gozips.com/sports/fball/2016-17/teams/akron?view=attendance The official attendance was 15,381, not terrible for the MAC but 18K would have been nice. It will just go as the quality of the team goes. We need to attain Toledo performance to get Toledo attendance. Great opportunity for us to win the East, if OU and BG let us, and get some more buzz from the MACC and another bowl game.
  8. Great...I could almost hear the pads smashing
  9. Or weak defense...
  10. I'm just watching the scoreboard but it seems like all I see is long yardage situations for the Zips.
  11. And then they went to Lansing and spanked Sparty!
  12. Announced attendance, mind you
  13. Not to steal Dr. Z's thunder, but here are a few more poll questions for tomorrow's game. Prize: bragging rights. Discussion welcome. These should be easier since there are only 2 choices (over/under) per question
  14. Yes, well since Frenchy is a key component of our psy ops disinformation campaign we will see about "4 weeks"
  15. Ball's status updated to doubtful, "not expected to play" here: http://newsday.sportsdirectinc.com/football/ncaaf-injuries.aspx?page=/data/ncaaf/injury/injuries.html
  16. Nice scoop and run by Venckus but you kinda wish the TD was credited to Moore. At any rate I guess it will show in his sack and forced fumble stats.
  17. Apparently the game time is still TBD...
  18. Hopefully being the underdog at our place will give our team plenty of motivation to not let down after the big road win. ASU will be hungry to make amends for their poor showing against Miami. 3-1 OOC would be amazing.
  19. http://newsday.sportsdirectinc.com/football/ncaaf-injuries.aspx?page=/data/ncaaf/injury/injuries.html Another injuries site, lists both Brown and Ball as questionable for ASU. Ironically, ASU also has both a RB and DB questionable. We just need to keep scoring the points. I'm thinking 65 will be enough to win this one also
  20. WMU and Toledo got 6 votes in the Week 4 AP Poll. CMU got 16 !
  21. Individual restrooms are the way to go
  22. http://www.espn.com/college-football/video?gameId=400869278 The Moore hit and blocked punt. It looks to me like Litton could have been called down (flat on his back) before the fumble, but I'll take the TD return
  23. It's a huge win for our progrum, there's no way we can pretend to be nonchalant about it.
  24. They were probably as shocked to see our score.
