You think Bowden can find the right guy when he goes out and gets him? What does that even mean? Obviously, Bowden "hasn't" been able to go out and get his guy because he has played Pohl for the last 2 years even though he doesnt want to. He couldnt find anyone better. Also, he was never able to replace Chisholm even though he wanted to in the worst way. Bowden has failed to find a guy for the last 3 years in 2 two of the most critical areas of his offense (QB and RB).

It is a bad thing when you have no for sure options. Please tell me how urban Mayer loses sleep if one or two of his starts go down. He showed that his 3rd stringer is good enough to win a national championship. Bowden loses sleep thinking of his starter. To be in this situation in his 4th year isn't a good thing. You can't even remotely compare the 2 situations. Basically, we are in the same QB situation as the Cleveland Browns right now. You are comparing it to a team that has Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers on the roster. Not the same!!

Really? How can you make a comparison like that? One team has 3 guys that can start at any BCS school in the country and won the title going away with their 3rd string guy. The other team is banking on a guy that didnt even put up decent stats at D2 Ashland. If Chapman doesn't pan out, Bowden once again looks like he was unable to recruit. He has done nothing in now his 4th year to improve the quarterback situation. It is a complete mess. Who is lined up if Chapman fails??

Stats are not the most important thing. Stats paint part of the picture, but they don't tell you everything about a player. What is the zips record since Noah has been out and Antino has been starting? To me, wins matter more than stats. Don't get me wrong, I love Antino. I think he is a hell of a player, especially for a freshman. However, Noah is more of a complete player, more cerebral and a better floor General.

Antino has stepped up and played well, but he still isn't as good as Noah no matter what you say.

Really? Did you even play basketball so you can make a judge on matchups or did you sleep in a holiday inn express last night? I had absolutely no issue with Walters guarding Juice. Walters physically matched up well with Juice during many one on ones during the game. He is long, athletic, and has nice lateral quickness. He was in his face on that shot. That was simply a great shot. I have more of an issue with our inbounds defensive scheme over anything. No way on earth is Juice touching the ball. Walters fought through several screens and still stuck right to him. In a ideal word I would have had Deji matched up with him, but Walters would probably be high on the list after watching him last night.

No. We are talking about high school recruiting. Tell me how his recruiting of 4 year players has elevated the program. I agree that he has increased the talent level by bringing in transfers, but this is not a sustainable or a good way to grow the program. Don't dare question whether I am a true zips fan. Anyone that knows me knows that I bleed blue and gold. I, however, am an honest and unbiased poster that sees things for how they are. The fact of the matter is that we are too reliant on kids screwing up and getting kicked off their team and coming to akron than we are of bringing in high school kids and developing them.

So you have studied film of every recruit from every school in the country? Until you have it is meaningless how much you know about our recruits. Do yourself a favor and pull up film from every other MAC schools recruits. You will see why our class is ranked last.

Best facilities in the conference hands down. Best recruiting area in the conference in terms of local talent available. One of the largest population bases in the conference within 30 miles of campus. Playing in an uptempo and exciting offense. Playing in an aggressive and attacking defense. Selling them that we will do anything necessary (legally of course) to get this program at the top of the conference and into bowl games starting this year. Convince them that we will play anybody, anywhere and they they will be seen by national audiences and pro scouts. Convince them that we have more NFL contacts than any other program in the conference and one of our measures to success is getting our guys to the league. Bring in any former NFL players that the staff has coached to help cement the deal that this staff will be there for them from day 1 and that includes getting them to the NFL. Just for starters. I could ramble on forever.

So what you are saying is that NIU has been able to hire great coaching staffs year after year regardless of talent? Either that or you are just saying that Bowden and his staff are simply much worse at coaching the non talented rosters. If that is the case we need to pay the NIU AD a consulting fee and get a new coaching staff immediately.
