Just because ianello recruited the guy doesn't mean that he lacks talent. Let's not be ridiculous. Let's see how these guys play with an actual coach first.

Bs industrial management in 2001 from the U of A and related to a former zips football player. Live in Brunswick, Ohio now but grew up in New Philadelphia area.

He has a nice frame and athleticism for a guy that is 6'5. Put 30 pounds on him and he would be a beast at TE.

Are you expecting us to get a few guy that are committed to other schools or are we getting some decent uncommitted guys that aren't being reported by rivals, etc?

Nice pickup. He is a good back that has played against the best. Plus, it is nice to start a relationship with St X. They are a football factory.

Rivals is no longer showing him as a verbal. They have Akron as high interest. They also show that he now has a Penn State offer. I have a feeling the Penn State offer may be why he is no longer verballed, however, I would want no part of PSU right now.

I get what everyone is saying about bringing in talented players. I don't think anyone would advocate bringing in D3 talent simply to fill the roster, but we are already short on numbers. We can ill afford to have a tiny class this year because we wouldnt even have 2 or 3 deep in a lot of positions. If we get a large group of walkons that may help, but I am sure the coaches know where we are think on numbers and are focusing in those areas. Like you said, the SEC is famous for pulling guys scholarships if they don't cut it. Somehow I think Bowden will be taking a risk on a few guys and then doing this to bring in better guys in the next year or two.

I would think that this would be a huge weekend for recruiting and it would be a fantastic game to take the recruits to. Anyone know if Bowden is bringing guys to the game?

Sweet...we will field a 60 team roster. That would be fantastic. We cant carry 50 scholarships into next year. All things considered, I am happy that we are getting some of the people that we are. He is filling holes in key areas of need. Nobody else recruited Chisolm, and he is one of the best guys Ianello brought in. Lets hope we have a few Chisolms.
