I care...and so do a lot of high school kids that go on rivals.

Anybody planning on doing any tailgating today or just showing up for the game?

I wish we had a page on rivals. Several other MAC schools do including Can't. We look like an irrelevant team as we are only one of a handful that does not have one. Most schools have more than one website for fans to chat.

I believe that most of our secondary concerns were due to 2 things... 1. Scheme. We always played zone and the guys looked lost. Tight ends were running free by 20 yards. That has nothing to do with athleticism. That is all coaching. 2. Lack of a pass rush. This is partly because of #1 above. Coach Bowden wouldn't be playing this way if he didn't feel that we had the guys to do it. From his perspective, it sounds like it is one of the deeper spots on the team.

That list of juniors is quite impressive. I am still waiting to wake up from a dream that we have this guy as our coach.

I refuse to make any assumptions on the talent level of this team based off the ineptitude of Rob Ianello. We were in a lot of games during his short tenure that even a bad coach would have won. Talent doesn't leave wide receivers open by 20 yards....bad coaching does.

Boise State, UCF, USF, etc... disagree with you. They were all as bad as we were and have now risen to better conferences and more national prominence. Unlike most schools, we have a talent base within 75 miles of campus that will consistently support a top 25 team. It can be done.

Me too. I complained about him being a fullback from the moment it was announced.

This team is young...being 1-3 going into Can't = 1-4 and a first round exit from the MAC tourney.

Regressed quite a bit at the end of the season. Pathetic.

Not overreacting...this team is done. We are probably the 4th best team in the MAC at this point after Can't slaughters us Friday.

You can say that all you want, but he is right. I have been bragging this team up all season and I finally get people to pay attention and we play like garbage two weeks in a row on national television. I got quite a few " this team is a joke" text messages last night.

Steubenville always produces D1 athletes. It is a great place for Coach Bowden to start an Akron pipeline. Their head coach is an Akron alum, so I am sure that he would be in UA's corner, especially when Bowden gets the program turned around.

Notice that it says "Ohio based", not Ohio school. The MAC is based in Cleveland. This could mean Temple, Buffalo, NIU, etc...

Several things are hurting attendance. One thing hurting attendance is the web streams. I would have been inclined to go to about 3 or 4 of the home games, but the game was web streamed, so I watched it from my computer. Not only that, I have to get up at 4:30am for work, so it is much more convenient to watch it online. Other things impact my decision... 1. I hate the JAR and I can't stand watching a game there. I would rather watch from home. 2. None of the teams coming in make me want to stay out late enough on a work night to put in the effort to make it to the campus. Can't, yes...other than that not a chance. Like another poster said, the regular season title means little, so being at those games has less of an important feel. If we were playing to make the tourney I would go for sure.

Why get upset? The person is obviously an idiot on both of his comments.

We are getting blown out by a horrible Western team. A loss here makes an at large impossible.

I am sure he is on board with this. No way are they making a move like that without him being involved. I am sure he sees how it would benefit him.

No doubt he is doing fine, but even Bowden doesn't have the clout with Ohio recruits that Jim Tressel does. It is a win-win.

Exactly what I was thinking. I can't imagine anyone having a better duo that that.

He isn't coming here. Saw where he is choosing between penn state, Hawaii, Alabama state and 2 others. We aren't in the mix.

Sweet. Wade Edwards is a zip. I love his film. Can't wait to see him play.
