Much more confidence this year from Nate Johnson. It's a great sight to see. Hunter is more confident. Dawson is back and man was he missed. Freeman is Freeman. Junk yard dawg that just produces however he can. The skinniest, lankiest grown ass man I've ever seen. So much heart from him. Our guards have a lot of quality traits. They just need to settle into the offense more. There's confidence there, and that's the key. The Floor Generals cannot be timid.

Really solid basketball game for the first game of the year yet again. Shoutout to SDSU. Big fan of theirs when we aren't playing them. I like the way they play and shoot the ball. Thank you to them for scheduling Akron for a home & home. This has been a fun way to open the season these past 2 years.

I don't know what tweaks they made in the play calling, but it was pretty incredible seeing WRs behind the defender, and Undercuffler dropped the ball in perfectly numerous times. There was a swagger/confidence that we had not seen since... Buffalo/NIU last year? His arm talent limits quite a few routes, but if they figure out how to tweak the playbook to his strengths, there's no reason he can't replicate what we saw.

Can we spray paint that thing Akron Blue & Gold? Looks like Kent took a leak all over the spokes, those disrespectful sons of guns...

I noticed the same thing. For an Arts & Crafts school, they really lack creativity and originality.

The MAC is an experience league. Typically the most experienced team wins in the end (i.e. Kent last year). Akron has won the league numerous times with a solid backcourt but better front court. Fundamental guard play is needed, but experience reigns supreme. Whhaaaatttt??????

Adams being so low on the depth chart is wild. Gathings is a special talent, just needs to keep his composure more often. Love the fire & passion though. I don't understand how we look so good offensively in the 1st half of the Temple game & 2nd half of this game, and putrid in every other game. It makes zero sense to me.
