  1. He and the Syracuse WR are who I'm keeping an eye on.
  2. This is our most complete position group IMO. Do you think anyone will transfer out due to a lack of playing time behind Adams/George/Golden?
  3. Don't forget, this game is at 5pm EST.
  4. Not a fan myself of EMU/CMU/WMU/NIU. REALLY loathe MAC leadership.
  5. 5* recruits have highly-talented friends. Those highly-talented friends have other highly-talented friends. The spiderweb of talent that could find its way to Akron from these Portal adds like Lingard would really expedite the rise of the program.
  6. Base on Tre Bell's activity on Twitter, I would imagine we address the DB group via the Portal - heavily.
  7. If they address this, I'd back off my hatred of the conference. I have my doubts, though.
  8. I don't think anybody has ever argued for Akron to make a unilateral move to exit the MAC. The only move that makes sense is the American Athletic Conference. There's no excitement for students/alumni/fans/general community with the MAC, so I don't see how it's "the best fit". The MAC doesn't say, "Come on out this Saturday, spend your day tailgating and watching Akron football." It says, "Stay at home this week and watch the game on Tuesday night from the comfort of your couch." Soccer just got into the Big East - there is legitimate excitement from this move. Nobody is mourning the loss of MAC soccer. The same would hold true with football, basketball, etc. I can't speak for the other conferences. The only one that made sense was the Sun Belt, and geographically, WKU is a better fit for the MAC than the Sun Belt. MTSU is borderline for both, leaning towards the Sun Belt. What I can speak for is where WKU & MTSU would've slotted into the MAC from a competitive standpoint. WKU would've been a great add, as the Hilltoppers also have a solid fan base. Both schools would've improved the competitive balance of the league.
  9. My post was more directed at @GP1 and a previous discussion we had when the MAC was potentially looking at adding MTSU and/or WKU. There was supposedly mutual interest, but the MAC decided not to add anyone. GP1 did not want to add these schools, but has also posted that he doesn't believe Akron should look to leave the MAC. I was just trying to find some clarity and consistency in his point to be able to better understand his side of the discussion. GP1: feel free to call out any inaccuracies in my assessment of our previous discussion here.
  10. Here is one to watch for. DBs coach Tre Bell already followed him prior to this. He's a South Carolina transfer DB.
  11. Not even a Jim Thome bobblehead promo (Peoria is his birthplace) would entice me to venture out in this incoming storm.
  12. They were a solid team. I legitimately think that was a quality win for JoeMo in year one. The way they played that day, they would've beaten several lower-end P5 schools.
  13. I definitely suspect we'll see a decent amount of transfers be added by the next signing period. We need experience, we need mature size, and quite frankly we still need talent. Did the St. Francis guy commit anywhere?
  14. Then my question would be if all of these programs that are on par or superior to us in football/basketball would be looking to get the hell out of the MAC as soon as possible, why is not acceptable for us to do the same? What does that say about the MAC?
  15. "bUt ThE mAc ShOlDn'T aDd WkU oR mTsU"
  16. Yes. Speaking from experience, I put on 30-40 lbs of muscle in about 6-8 months without any professional help/guidance. My routine was a breakfast drink, protein snacks, double order of Steak & Shake for lunch, protein snacks, workout after work, protein shake, two Chipotle bowls for dinner, protein snacks, then a mass gainer before bed. Rinse, repeat. Any type of professional guidance would've helped make this cleaner/healthier/easier, but it's extremely possible to add weight through muscle quickly. He won't have any problems adding 20+ lbs if he's serious about it.
  17. If you're gonna drop down a level, this is how you do it. Good program, gorgeous landscape. @GoZips88 Have you found a summer property yet in Missoula? 😉
  18. I would tend to agree that the $3M is inaccurate on the low side. However, I don't think it's too much more than that. They're getting outbid by millions. No, that's not how the system is "intended" to work either, but it is what it is for now and OSUcks is losing. If they get blown out by Georgia, I'm not sure Ryan Day survives.
  19. Rumor is they actually don't have a large chest to throw around. Lima on 92.3 The Fan said he's talked with people down there who said OSUcks has a ~$3M NIL budget, while schools like Florida are dealing with ~$30M.
  20. @Blue & Gold Keep up 😉
  21. JoeMo got his change of pace back. Sub 4.3 40. Wow.
  22. For those wondering why Ryan Day is trending on Twitter, it isn't because Suckeyes fans are happy. Ohio State has lost 5, 5 star COMMITS today, and a number of 4 star commits as well.
  23. Based on Twitter action, the commitment from Lorenzo Lingard is turning some heads.
  24. They also signed Jim Christian to an extension for reaching a .500 record. I will never understand Boston College.
