  1. Good work. This is fascinating.
  2. Fire Jay Mariotti is soooo much better. Haha.
  3. AMEN.I feel that McNees and Conyers are the only players that have improved year over year. The McKnights have stayed flat and Humpty seems to have regressed somehow. That's what's the most frustrating thing for me.
  4. Color me skeptical, but for some reason I doubt that Terry Pluto wrote the response listed here. I could be wrong, but it was just listed in the comments section. Seemed like someone was making it up. Again, I could be wrong, but it didn't seem like it actually came from him.
  5. Can you read?
  6. I remember hearing the same thing... not sure where though. Perhaps it was NCAA Football '10 for the 360? I know they had a bunch of random facts strewn about in the game.
  7. "digged"I'm really excited about the potential of this video gaining momentum.
  8. What about people that have no affiliation with Akron that cheer for them (like myself)? Do you get pissed at them too for not supporting the college they went to? People need to get over the OSU Akron thing. It gets so old.
  9. Ok, so right after I read this post, the exact same video was forwarded to me by my boss (who has no affiliation to Can't or Akron). Pretty cool that it's "gone viral" to the point of being forwarded.
  10. Thanks for setting this up. Some pretty cool stuff on there.
  11. Anti-Life?If you are implying that he is "pro-choice", I do believe that is incorrect. It's from Wikipedia, I know, but here are some pointers on his abortion stands.Paul supports constitutional rights, such as the right to keep and bear arms, and habeas corpus for political detainees. He opposes the Patriot Act, federal use of torture, presidential autonomy, a national ID card, domestic surveillance, and the draft. Citing the Ninth and Tenth Amendments, Paul advocates states' rights to decide how to regulate social matters not directly found in the Constitution. Paul calls himself "strongly pro-life",[150] "an unshakable foe of abortion",[151] and believes regulation or ban[152] on medical decisions about maternal or fetal health is "best handled at the state level".[153][154] He says his years as an obstetrician led him to believe life begins at conception;[155] his pro-life legislation, like the Sanctity of Life Act, is intended to negate Roe v. Wade and to get "the federal government completely out of the business of regulating state matters."[156]So there you go. Support him in full conscience.
  12. Rich coming from you I must say...
  13. Not that I have a problem with cool halftime routines (the panda plate lady was awesome), but who comes to a game to see the halftime entertainment? Why pay for something if it's not going to get people in the seats?
  14. Thanks Keith.Yeah, he really needs to stop banging that drum. It's bothersome to the fans that do not "give up" on the team.
  15. I went to all three. By far my favorite was the soccer weekend.I'm biased though.
  16. yeah, the soccer team actually is really really good....
  17. All I want for my birthday is a Zips win!Prediction:Zips 72Can't StateCKS 64
  18. That'll happen once the "Akron's in Ohio" chants stop. The Canada stuff was started in response to that.I learned something today.+1
  19. RACER is up to his same old tactics. He can't form complete sentences, often forgets how to use the space bar, and struggles to use punctuation correctly.
  20. Here is one person's definition of "mid-major" which obviously shows the A-10 as "below the line." I think it's a pretty good place to start.
  21. In fairness, I've never heard of Kyle Fazekas. Nick, on the other hand was a great player.
  22. I'm not certain that all of those Srs. were on scholarship. I think Zemanski might have been the only one actually. Soccer scholarships are not like other sports. They are only given a certain amount and they sometimes end up splitting them down and things like that I believe. Regardless, I think a class of 4 or 5 would suffice (depending on Blair and Darlington's status), and we already have 4 (?) lined up. Plus, keep in mind that we are not the only team losing players to the MLS.
  23. Have to disagree with you here. What a fantastic recruiting tool. Come to UA and you can be Generation Adidas just like at any other school, or a first overall pick. And I agree that Caleb at the very least has some input with the guys before they leave. Regardless, this team will still be great next year and the year after. The future is still bright!
  24. Rumors have Nagbe leaving also. We'll have to wait and see. Maybe it will entice unsigned talent to bring their skills to Akron.Big Soccer board has a thread on MLS and Generation Adidas prospects. Zakuani supposedly got $175k to go -- Teal won't draw that much, and will not be a top pick. Probably first round, however.Hey, Z.I.P., where did you find this "rumor" about Darlington? I've looked around but haven't seen anything on him. I hope a mass exodus doesn't start!
  25. This is unreal. I remember when Ken left there was a lot of thinking that we would be fading into oblivion in the next few years. Turns out it was the best thing that could happen to this program. We hit the jackpot with literally the best coach in the college ranks and a guy that is loyal and wants to stay at Akron. This sort of stuff just doesn't usually happen to NEO sports teams. It's stuff like this that merits showering the athletic department with donations to help get this field done!
