  1. Love it! Of our first 7 commits we've got 2 OL and 2 DL along with our QB.
  2. From yesterday (Wednesday, July 31
  3. I'd LOVE to see Kamarii back. I was in touch with him via twitter last September and at the time he was planning on getting his grades together @ JUCO & then come back to Akron. I'd been hoping for that scenario to play out.
  4. According to ESPN dot com we beat out quite a laundry list of schools for McManus Boston College Charlotte Cincinnati Duke ECU Marshall Maryland South Florida Syracuse Temple Toledo
  5. Please refresh my memory. Wasn't Kyle Thomas a starter last year?
  6. Any other player evaluations and/or observations out there? Beuller?
  7. That’s what I was thinking πŸ’―
  8. Can’t make the open practice πŸ˜• Someone please give a detailed account! πŸ™πŸ™
  9. Last night I had a dream.... nightmare, really... that Finley sustained a season-ending injury on the 2nd play from scrimmage versus OSUcks. I woke up hoping we mostly hold Finley out versus OSUcks & let Bullock take the lumps. But that probably means we lose 70-0... instead of 42-10(?). Should we play to win (i.e., start Finley) versus OSUcks or not? I'm leaning towards not. I feel like a loser not wanting to play to win vs. OSUcks. Maybe I'm just getting old. But if Finley gets injured I'm afraid we could go 0-fer. Ugh. I simply hate this year's schedule.
  10. McCoy & Adler, two top notch representatives of our program πŸ’―β€οΈ
  11. πŸ˜‘ The obvious takeaway is Kent State sucks
  12. Good. We desperately need wins because we need fans. Nobody (except maybe Chicago Cubs & long suffering Cleveland Browns fans?) will remain emotionally invested in perpetual losers. And last year really knocked the pee & vinegar out of me. Usually by this time of year I am READY FOR SOME ZIPS FOOTBALL!!!! But this year I'm feeling like I assume Joe Akron typically feels... not wanting summer to end.
  13. +1. He played very well while he was in so maybe the coaches had seen enough? I guess it is more about development & evaluation than winning the game…
  14. He's playing very well.
  15. I'm most excited to see our transfer players, but of them all I'm probably most excited to see Josiah Harris. I think the fan favorite by season's end... keeping my finger crossed... will be Nate Johnson. If Nate is the fan favorite it'll mean he's taken that leap most of us are hoping for and we all know he's capable of. I'm keeping my expectations curbed for true freshman PG Sharron Young. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than underwhelmed. I know he'll be a good one, but asking a true freshman to run the show is a big ask.
