As KD points out, OU is a "spurty" team. They didn't have a single spurt against Belmont. Unfortunately there is no way they'll play that poorly 1) two games in a row, 2) at home, and 3) against us. However, Belmont (who is not a big team) exploited OU's lack of height (and toughness) and I'm expecting us to do the same thing again on Wednesday night. Besides Keeley (sp?), they've got no one who wants to set a foot in the paint. And Zeke ate Keeley alive last time we played.

Done! There are some serious ballers on that list.

Hey Fellas, Just wanted to let you guys know that Coach Bowden will be speaking at my church on Monday night, March 4th. He'll be speaking after our Men's Ministry sausage dinner. My church is The Chapel in Marlboro 8700 Edison Street NE Louisville, OH 44641 330-935-0132 If you want to come for dinner, the doors open at 5:30 and the sausage dinner costs $10. The dinner is pretty delicious and includes sausage, homemade sauerkraut, mashed potatoes & cookies. (Any profits we make help us with "scholarships" we make available to some less-fortunate fathers who want to bring their boy(s) to some of our Men's Ministry activities throughout the year.) If you only want to hear Coach Bowden speak, simply come to the church around 6:30. TB will be speaking in the sanctuary. It will be up to Terry, but there will probably be a brief time for Q&A afterwards. Frenchy lets you know when he's frustrated with a Zips performance, or lack thereof. Believe me, over the years, he's been very frustrated and critical of Zips performances. Haven't we all?

Right. This thread has lost me entirely. Please explain, for those of us slower on the uptake, why BOGO would deter people from coming?

Looking at Zeke's career at UA, I think Akron's been perfect for Zeke. Zeke came to Akron a very raw talent and quite skinny. If Zeke would have gone to a "bigger" program with a bigger spotlight, much more would have been expected of him much sooner. Akron's given Zeke the patience to work on his game and has developed him into a potential NBA player. Kudo's to KD & staff. I hope some other late-bloomer bigs with huge upside see the TLC that The University of Akron has shown to our pride & joy, Zeke Marshall. Go Zips!

Melo played very well last night. In the post-game presser KD said it was weird and that he actually thought the team looked better last night while Melo was running the 1 than when Alex was in the game. And I love Melo's defense.

CB had a pretty nice first half. He's getting better/more comfortable. He's very tricky w/ the ball.

Announcers giving Zeke a lot of props on how he changes the game. One of the announcers called Tree a junkyard dog. Very fitting.

It looked great! Exciting, entertaining, top-shelf caliber basketball played before a hyped-up packed house. Priceless PR.

Then Tree funks on the rim. GREAT sequence for national tv! All the announcer could say after that was, "Oh, wow!"

I think I just saw MamaZeke going crazy after Zeke's nasty, nasty dunk. Yeah, the announcer just pointed out MamaZeke. Stupid T on that, btw.
