Zach, I can't find hardly any information on WR Deandre Adams. What do you have on him? And, with only 13 schollies to give, this class is shaping up nicely. I'm still holding my breath with DT Keontae Hollis. I guess that he tweeted that he really enjoyed his visit @ U of South Alabama. Though, fortunately, he's still listed as a Zips commit. We need DT's.

I went and saw Aaron Jackson and Gahanna Lincoln play this afternoon @ Walsh. Aaron simply didn't have a good game. He picked up two very early fouls and had three fouls before halftime, so he spent a lot of the first half and third quarter on the bench. Aaron's got a fantastically athletic build. He looks like Jimmy Conyers, only a little bit bigger (and he's four years younger than Jimmy was). He looks to be a good 6'6". He's definitely a winner of the genetic lottery. He's also a very smooth athlete who can handle the ball pretty well and has a pretty smooth stroke from 3. He plays above the rim. I think Aaron finished with 10 points, but again, his foul trouble really kept him from getting into any kind of flow in today's game. So I can't really judge.

Yes, but that information is out-dated. Stockett is no longer a Zips commit. After the (awful) senior season he had, the general conclusion on ZN.o was that Coach Bowden was probably just straight honest with him & told him he'd most likely never see the field at Akron. So Stockett de-committed quite early, as back in November, IIRC and was looking elsewhere (lower division). We picked up Pennsylvania QB Tommy Woodson in his stead.

LZip probably meant Dillard is pretty thin. He is, I believe, 200 lbs., so yeah, he's not "small."

That should do it for LB's for this class with Jerome & Deon'tae giving verbals. Zipmeister should be proud with these two very nice-sized (& fast) LB's. According to Michael Beaven of the ABJ: Jerome Lane 6'5" 210. Deon'tae Moore 6'4 216

Oooh, now that would truly be an honest-to-goodness original idea. We'd be beating Oregon to the punch on that one & probably get some national attention - not all positive, of course, but as the old saying goes, any publicity is good publicity.

They gave a sneak-peak on facebook yesterday. They look pretty sweet, but alas, not gold. (In fact, these don't have a shred of gold to them; strictly blue & white. Hmm.) I posted on facebook that I liked them (I simply like alternate jerseys - I think the gray jerseys are very sharp), that the extremely dark shade of navy was very cool, but that we NEED GOLD UNIFORMS - and not just for special occasions, but as a staple. We should wear gold for every home game and maybe make the (more boring) whites the alternate. Anyhow, to the tweeters out there, re-tweet the tweet & let's see those jerseys!

Rivals.com has Keontae listed as a 3-star DT. He's given us a verbal, but is still, apparently, taking a visit to South Alabama today (1/25). Let's hope he doesn't enjoy himself too much down there. Go Zips!

I don't mind the greys. I just love alternate uni's. The grey is great as baseball has always incorporated grey visiting jerseys into whatever a team's color scheme may be. But I feel we should definitely have gold alternate jerseys as a mainstay. The whites are sharp, but we should wear gold at home. They'd just be very cool, simple as that.

Without Chauncey we wouldn't have beaten Ken.t on Saturday.
