You should be at the JAR when a ref makes a questionable call. Lunatic fringe. I referee co-ed, elementary school-aged children's church-league basketball and that's rough enough! I wouldn't want to touch high school, let alone D-1 college refereeing with the proverbial 10-foot pole. But a 38-7 free throw shooting discrepancy should definitely cause a few raised eyebrows. However (I didn't check the stats, but I doubt it was as lopsided as Valpo), we dropped a game to the Dukes last night & we can't blame the refs for that one.

During the postgame interview KD mentioned that AA was banged up & couldn't play much in the 2nd half. He also mentioned Walsh was banged up & had to sit out the 2nd half of the Valpo game. I'm still surprised he burned Deji's redshirt. But, I guess w/ both our starting & backup PG's a little banged up right now...?

Hey i'll agree that "The future is bright" but i wont agree that "he can't be anymore excited". maybe he should be wearing shades? I know some of you guys say RI is arrogant. Well, I've never met him, but he's never impressed me that way. I feel so sorry for the guy. To me he seems like a really nice guy, who is just in woefully over his head. Watching this video is so depressing on a few different levels. [edit]: I've just got to keep reminding myself that the UA has made him a millionaire. There are lots of other people I should probably feel much more sorry for.

+1. That early season BCS victory was completely unprecedented in our program's history & now it doesn't really matter so much. We're back to slow resume building w/o any shout-outs from the national media.

Yeah. I know these guys are on full-ride scholarships, but I can't help but feel sorry for the guys on the team. I'd probably fake an injury so I could just take this final week off & soak in the hot tub.

They've regained their composure. They're going to be just fine. I thought the team would get off to a somewhat slow start this year, simply due to all the new pieces-parts. But that MSU win sure was convincing. However, the way they've played against Valpo & now this evening is kinda what I had expected. We'll see. There's just too much athleticism/individual talent on this team for them not to be good come, at least, mid-season.

I like this guys voice. I think he just said his name is Bob Baker. He sounds like a big-time announcer. Idk if he'll be any good or not, but it sounds very professional.

Hmm. Check out this blog. HirePaulWinters.blogspot.com. I know some on this board are not real big fans of Paul Winters, but the author of this blog has put some nice work in. I'm assuming they drop by ZNO at least occassionally. Idk. Paul Winters may turn out to be another KD - an Akron guy who is loyal and very proud to be an Akron Zip; not just looking at Akron as a stepping stone.
