  1. The short answer is no.As of right now we had two scholarships to offer for 2010 (due to the graduation of C.McKnight and Conyers). Both of those scholarships have verbal commitments attached to them (Egner and Green). If I'm thinking correctly in order to pick up Euton we would either have to rescind an offer to one of those two or we would have to have another player leave the program. I suppose it is possible that one of our guards would look to transfer out. We do have a log-jam at the guard spots right now and it wouldn't be a total surprise if one of the talented youngsters saw the writing on the wall as far as playing time. The other possibility I could think of would be if Daryl Roberts isn't granted or doesn't want (his commitment to the program has been a question in the past) his extra year of eligibility for '10-'11. I think that goes over about everything. Hope it helps. And the scholly opened up due to Andrew Parrish transferring?...[edit] Ah, I should have read a bit further down. I guess Roberts got the scholly vacated by Parrish?
  2. I hope this is true. And it's about time. Though AA has an NFL body, he just isn't himself yet (anymore?). Too bad Dale Martin is apparently injury prone; he looked like the most explosive back of them all.Go DeVo! Put your head down and run hard! We need some more testosterone in our offense!
  3. Well if he can improve his unathleticness by 20% within the next 30 days I will consider not recommending that we revoke the scholarship offer. You really think UA couldn't use a guy who was recruited by the most talent-laden team in the entire country? Really? I think CraftyMFer has a much more realistic view of what Euton would bring to the table for us.Zipmeister's only joking.
  4. WOW! Dude, you are an EXCELLENT photographer! Serious props.
  5. I hope you're right about that.
  6. If you're a masochist, ESPNU is replaying the Indiana game tonight @ 11:00. Ouch.
  7. Hmm. Did the transfer of Andrew Parrish open up a scholly?I hope he got to meet LeBron!
  8. Ever heard of capitalization or spacing after periods?Of course not. Like most of the rest of us, he graduated from the University of Akron. About a year ago RACER made a reference to a disability he has that makes typing a royal pain in the butt for him, so, knowing that, do try to give the guy a break (even though, yes, his posts can often be difficult to decipher).
  9. Well said. This pretty much sums up my present feelings about the program and this season. I do, however, hope we have something to get excited about by the end of the year.I guess I'm just excited to see if the Info can make an impact on the caliber of recruit we bring in. The Indiana game was really an eye-opener.
  10. Before the Morgan State game I watched as some clearly-plastered, glassy-eyed chick petted on one of the mounted police horses for a few minutes. The cop said nothing. She wasn't hurting anyone. Everyone, police included, were in pleasant, friendly moods. Kudos to the APD & UAPD. Btw, the mounties are a great touch. People love them & they add even more flair to the gameday environment.
  11. Also, if you saw him in a walking boot, well, those D-1 athletes get better treatment & more pampering than any of the rest of us. If he did have a slight ankle sprain, they might put him in a boot for a day or two, whereas they'd tell you or me to just walk it off. Lol.
  12. I can't vote with my BlackBerry, but definitely Matt Rogers. We need to move forward with Matt.Definitely not Jacq.Keep Nicely's redshirt if at all possible. Now, if Rogers gets hurt I'd be for burning Nicely's redshirt, but not otherwise. Let Wackerly take the mop-up-duty snaps this season.
  13. I hope Jacq doesn't have anything to do with highly regarded OL recruit Joe Patchuta (sp?) leaving training camp after only two days. That's be a travesty.Anyway, if this is true, wow, wow, wow. Stealing from your own teammates?!?! What an @sshole. The team oughta let big, bad 'Mondo beat the hell outta him.
  14. Thanks!
  15. Bump...Hey fellas, I'm not asking for the moon here. A little help?...
  16. That is excellent! A 2-hour pregame show! That's indeed big time! Hope all the tailgaters have this cranked up!
  17. I was thinking the same. For Jacq to do this now, of all times - right before arguably the biggest game in the growing programs history is inexcusable. The team (coaches) really may want to give serious consideration to simply moving forward with Rogers. Anyway, wow, what a blow.
  18. Live Stats doesn't work on my BlackBerry. Could you guys @ the game give us some occassional updates?
  19. Zippers 24Hosers 13
  20. Can someone tell me what time the team bus is supposed to arrive outside the JAR tomorrow for the Zip team walk? Last week quite a few of the players commented about how much they liked the support, so I want to be there this week. Thanks in advance!
  21. Hoban's kicker is the real deal, he could probably start for us tomorrow.Name me a good high school place kicker who WOULDN'T be able to start for us tomorrow. Uhhhhh Igor Iveljic? Hey, he was VERY good at Mentor! Sorry, skip, I couldn't resist Coming out of high school Igor was ranked the #4 kicker in the country and he doesn't even see the field for us! Man, what happened there?!
  22. I've got tears in my eyes!!!
  23. Just stopped by Porky's in the JAR to buy a sweet new Zips hat & saw that the soccer game is officially sold out!Go Zips! Fear the Roo!!!
  24. You guys played the Imperial March?! Good! I was going to post that we NEED to hear that score for our defense!I wasn't aware that you guys had rocked the Imperial March because I'm sitting in the east grandstands GA area and it was a bit difficult to hear the band. But, hey, you get what you pay for, I guess, and I'm in the cheap seats.
  25. I wouldn't die on this hill, but I think we should televise as many games as possible. People are trained to believe that an event is a big deal if it's on tv. We need the people of NEO to start considering Zips games to be a big deal.As an aside - the Info is so well designed and so impressive, that if they would have announced an attendance figure of 40,000 I don't think many would have doubted it.
