Did they coat the rooftop terrace of the north endzone building today? If so, with what?

Our situation would be far superior, especially if we can encorporate the Mayflower into the equation. If there were some way for us to convert the Mayflower into dormitory space, not only would we rid the area of some shady types (and that's putting it kindly), but we would also have quite a presence right on Main Street - with the Polsky building to the north and the new student apartments (though privately owned) to the south.Main Street would run, from north-to-south: Polsky, Mayflower, Nike/LeBron Arena, student apartments. Nice block of activity!

When ESPN was showing Florida State's utter obliteration of OSU in baseball, did anyone else notice how nice FSU's away gold baseball uniforms looked? They were very tasteful - not tacky in the least. And to top it off, they were Nike uniforms, which means we could have very similar uniforms as soon as next season! Just thought they were very nice & wanted to say I hope we can emulate those good looking uni's & have some available to the public in our new team shop @ The Info!

I think "The Info" has already evolved unofficially into Infocision Stadium's nickname. Anything forced upon us now would feel contrived. The Info is a great name. And as far as the student section goes, I really like the Roo Zoo. The Pouch, not so much. But we were calling UA "The Zoo" back when I was in high school - I graduated in '91.

If I were JD I think I'd be excited to have a recruit playing in the game. It seems like a good recruiting tool to me. Additionally, I'd assume most of the spectators @ this event will be from the area so it would be nice for them to see that UA has a recruit on this elite team. I'd have to think it would give our program some credibility.

No, but seriously, if my "pimpin' tux" comment honestly offended anyone on ZipsNation then I absolutely give my sincerest appologies. I was just trying to compliment Zeke in a slightly humorous fashion. The tux is very cool! But if any of you thought the comment was inappropriate then I'm truly sorry for my failed attempt @ humor.

Dear Gentle Zipmeister, and other AARP card holders, believe it or not, nowadays "Pimpin'" is actually a compliment. Just to catch you and our other Golden Buckeye Card users up to speed, "bad" believe it or not, now means "good." Surprisingly, "sick" also means "good." "Gangsta" as well, means "good." "Straight" no longer means the absence of crookedness, but now means "good." "Wet" no longer is soley the opposite of "dry," but also means... you guessed it... Good! As does pimpin'. I would even go as far as to say that tux is straight shizzleizzlefizzle! Oh, sorry... nowadays that also means "good."For your edification, allow me to reference the hilarious and tragically under-utilized Urban Slang Dictionary:pimpshway: An action, object or place that is really cool. Example: Pimpshway car! pimptastic: Excellent. Good enough for the best of the best pimps. Example: That cashew was pimptastic. Thus, class, we could rightfully say, "Whoa Zeke! That tux is pimptastic!" And unfortunately I don't believe any were available locally. I asked @ 3 different stores and they all said you'd have to go to Chicago or NYC.

I like billboards for the simple fact it keeps UA in people's minds. It sort of marks out our territory, kinda like when my dog used to pee on our mailbox. We should have billboards all over the Akron area - Summit, Stark, Medina, Wayne & Portage Counties. Yes, we should have billboards in Can't. NO, Can't should never have billboards in Akron! Have vmd9 design a sick billboard. It might not sell a single ticket, but it keeps our name out there; kinda helps paint the town blue & gold.

There is a lot of activity on the roof of the end zone facility. Can anyone tell what they're doing exactly?

When I went to the Akron - Columbus game last year in Columbus, I probably had to walk 1.5 - 2 miles to the game from where I was parked. So our situation couldn't possibly be worse than that. If you build it and win in it they will come.I'm just gonna walk, but maybe we could get one of those Trolley-looking buses to run people from the downtown parking decks to The Info?

Following this link I went to the Akron page. It says that Akron has picked up a 3rd verbal from a Michigan player, but you've got to be a premium subscriber to read the article. The endzone building is going to add another unique feature to The Info. It looks like it's going to make a great porch area on which to stand and watch the game - sort of like the Home Run Porch in left field of Progressive Field.Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that in order to consume alcohol inside The Info, you may have to purchas the beer on that porch and keep it there until you're finished. If you look at the renderings, they have two tent-like structures that sort of fence off the porch/roof of the endzone building. They might be intending to make that a "Beer Garden" inside The Info?

More proof that the AD reads Zipsnation.Very, very nice! That's X-Box quality! Lol.And I'd hope that the AD would at least have a bit of an idea of the thoughts being expressed by the die hard Zips supporters of ZipsNation. That would only make good sense.

It's dissappointing to me to hear that the city only wants a 10,000 seat arena. IMHO I think we should really shoot for a 12,000 seat venue.

Lol. Pathetic! I was listening to WNIR last night and someone called in about this amazingly unintelligent fiasco. The caller said 3 fire departments were called in, both the Summit and Portage County Sheriffs departments, & the Can't PD. The evening host even replied it sounded like the earlier hippies.

Have we ever had 2 verbals in April before?! I honestly don't ever remember us getting a single verbal this early, let alone two!

<br /><br /><br />Zeke hit a three in the LBJ AAU game I was able to catch last year. And he looked completely comfortable in doing so! Nice, easy, smooth stroke - like it ain't no thing! The MAC trembles at the mention of Zeke's name!

There was a rather nice article about Howard in either the Beacon or the Repository, and in it he said that he knew he had to get his act together and focus on his work and stay out of trouble. He wasn't dismissive about his past at all. So I took that as a very good sign that he is intelligent and mature enough to understand what he's got to do to get ahead in life.

Personally, I think we should be looking for another big man. But I'm thrilled with the caliber of recruits we're involved with anymore! ****Zeke, *****Payne, ***Weatherspoon, ***Wright. These are all very high caliber recruits.We've got a handful of All-Ohio and All-Pennsylvania players on the team now, but none of them were as widely coveted as the fellas we're now involved with. It's just great to see Akron mentioned right along with some traditional, powerhouse programs.

This seems like a fantastic schedule; we're playing a lot of powerhouse programs! Should be a lot of fun. I, however, wouldn't be surprised if we lose a handful of these games this year so I don't think we'll be ranked as highly as we were last year. But this tough of a schedule should really get us ready for the post-season tournament.
