i'm goin down. along with the YSU game tuesday. two consecutive away games for the first time ever.

No wonder we have these ysu people here. check out those pathetic excuses for forums. I think there's about 4 posters on the entire thing. YSU seems to have some sort of inferiority complex to the Zips. They think we have a rivalry.... They think the "Gateway Conference" is a better conference than the MAC in football...They think the Horizon League is a better basketball league.They think the Zips are afraid to play at ysu. Could it be you're 1AA?Oh wait...I'm sorry. I respect your opinions.

Thoughts...the basic version cuz i'm tired*zips looked good. Ok, we didnt look as GOOD as they looked BAD. LMU with 25+ turnovers and the zips with 20+ steals, we shouldve won by 60. I guess it's ok for the fellas to showboat a lil bit out there. coach sure didnt look happy.*good crowd, maybe some folks saw how close we were to beating Nevada. Crowd size was similar to that 3300. Fans seem to be a little less afraid to cheer. Maybe we'll have a home-court advantage yet...*Rybak...what's this kid good at? 6 touches, 5 shots, 5 points and a foul.*Maybe Linhart needed some competion at SF. It appears he's playing his best ball of the year with Jimmy C comin on strong behind him.*Nick Goddard has an amazing jumpshot. Quick release too. A few impressive dunks and some good boards. I know he's thin, but how does he knife between defenders like that?*Romeo had another so-so game. it may be true...and i've seen it first hand too. I was one of 4 watching rashon brown over break 6 years ago. The zips are on the verge of stepping up a level...and near an unprecidented level of success following on what football did two seasons ago. While it may be a "good" decision to sell the seats, the way that it was done was wrong. Athletics told the leaders of the AK-Rowdies that the seats would be sold monday night (that's right, LATE the night before the next home game). That very same night, some 45 minutes later, the story pops up on gozips.com "select lower level seats usually reserved for students are now on sale!" Oh, and how kind of them to offer up that section in return if the students could sign up 164 students to attend the nevada game in a 2 day time period. We've done our best, without the help of the AK-Rowdies President's master email list, by using myspace and facebook. The list is up to 70 attendees and 60 maybes. Not bad, considering how few AK-Rowdies are even aware of the zipsnation myspace and facebook groups. Regardless, I'm giving the athletics department the benefit of the doubt until zip students show up in force tomorrow and a bunch are forced to sit up top and watch the game while those who bought out those tickets put their feet up and snooze through the game. Thanks to whoever that was that said they bought a couple and planned to sit up high. I'm assuming you dont think you can be loud enough. GO ZIPS! BEAT NEVADA!

I saw this last night as well...considered posting it. Miami is a pretty bad team, but still nonetheless a good win for binghamton. helps us, too. 3 straight wins, including two on the road after the zips drubbed em by 35 on their court. maybe we made their season? Oh...and no matter what talent level, it's always "HUGE" for a mid-major to beat a power conference school. (america east vs acc?!)

This is gonna be one heck of a game. If they shoot the lights out like on their court last year, we could be out of this early. I predict a loud JAR, still not sold out because of lack of advertising, and a Zips win. Don't want to put a score here...but...Zips 78Nevada 74Oh...and the line will be around... Zips (+4)

just kinda have this funny feeling most of those seats'll sell for nevada and we'll more than fill the south end. then a bunch of rowdies will be stuck up top, cuz we all know they'd never boot their precious $20/seat snoozers that wont even stand up, let alone make noise.

Ends were empty, including the "EXTRA SUPER DUPER SPECIAL SEATS USUALLY RESERVED FOR THE STUDENT CHEERING SECTION." maybe some advertising would help? I sure like how they pushed that "next game vs. #20 Nevada" a whole twice during the game.

yep. thanks for the boycott. and smack in the face two, they advertised the seats (WHICH WERE COMPLETELY EMPTY, MINUS A FEW FOLKS THEY THREW DOWN THERE JUST BEFORE TIP) for the Nevada game. I guess I cant complain though...they should know more students will show up for nevada. But I guess that doesnt matter.

I think someone is in denial of Akron still being a commuter campus... Amen. On-campus dorms only represent about 15-20% of the student population, if that. Most of us live near campus, and pay rent, and therefore dont leave our houses unoccupied for four entire weeks. Especially in light of recent events on the south side of campus. It's a smack in the face, end of story.
