  1. I agree, good for him. He got to play for a better coach, a better program and will probably get a sniff as a RB/ fullback at the next level. The kid is hands down the toughest, hard nosed and smartest RB I've seen in this conference. I really enjoyed watching him play at OU. It seems to me that when evaluating talent that far too many people look only at 40 times , vertical jumps and a kids athleticism. Often overlooked is a kid's heart, smarts, toughness and will to succeed. I'd take an entire squad of kids like AJ Ouellette any time. Very fitting that Bowden missed him because I sure won't miss Bowden.
  2. Maryland was the better side tonight. You have to get something going in the box to get the calls to go your way. Hate to lose on a PK but that's soccer. Their defense was very impressive I'm proud of how far this team has come in the past month or so. Don't lose sight of the masterful coaching job by Embrick that got them there.
  3. Basically, an offensive player can not be ahead of the other teams defenders (goal keeper excluded) unless the ball is also ahead of the defenders.
  4. Yep, I thought it was a clear and correct call. Had a step on the defenders before the ball got to him
  5. Hell of an ending.... Coach tossed, cheap shots... Stay classy Wake
  6. Jackson reminds me a lot of Antino Jackson. He has that slick step back jumper and not afraid to put his head down and drive it. He's going to be a good one.
  7. Very pleased with the defensive effort to this point in the game
  8. If anybody has the inside scoop on Kato's status please drop it here.
  9. The '17/'18 Yellow Jackets season closing victory over Alderson Broaddus serves notice that we better come out ready to play.
  10. Win ,lose or draw, they still have to lay claim to Kaitlin Bennett afterwards.
  11. Nice job Zips but to give NW the ball for the last play was one of the stupidest things I ever witnessed. Hell, Nelson could have sprinted back for a safety and game over. NW should have never had a chance for a hail Mary.
  12. Lets all give it up for Bo Borowski. Most refs would have swallowed their whistles on that last call.
  13. This may well be Groce's greatest coaching job ever. Totally impressed with the grit of this team. The progression of Kostelac and Cotton has been a joy to watch and Ivey has matured into a true leader who leaves it all on the floor every night. The future looks very bright.
  14. Dre, I like you man but that's a much too harsh assessment of Groce . A good jockey can't win on a slow horse. I truly believe that a coach new to a program can not be judged accurately until his 3rd season and with all the defections he faced it's going to take that long here for sure. A couple observations: The only positive I saw last night was that Cotton played his butt off. Can't say that about anybody else. Buffalo is the real deal. They have depth too. I can see them making some real noise in March. Now, an action photo of Kostelac defending the paint :
  15. Did I hear the announcer just call them Golden State?
  16. To be blunt, Kent State and Ball State might be the only two teams in the MAC that we would be leading at this point. We are not playing well at all.
  17. I'll miss him but at least Bollas will be back and that makes me happy,
  18. The Flashes have to be the dumbest and most undisciplined team I've ever seen.
  19. What worries me is that we take our foot off of the gas a little and the staff coaches to not lose. We saw some of this, to a degree, in the 2H vs the kitties. Stay aggressive.
  20. No real negatives to speak of other than giving up a few offensive boards for easy put backs. I'm very pleased with tonight's performance though, a much, much better effort than we saw against CSU.
  21. Skyhawk' guard DelFincko Bogan has one of the more interesting names I've heard lately.
  22. Absolutely spot on. Our special teams, in it's entirety, is among the poorest I've seen in D1 football. Too much on the line now to let this cost us a shot at a MAC championship or bowl game victory. Everybody has seen this and they will work to exploit this weakness.
  23. Quite a wide range of emotions from pg 1 to the end of the thread at bobcatattack. Such an unstable bunch..... http://www.bobcatattack.com/messageboard/topic.asp?FromPage=1&ForumPID=6&PID=247218
