  1. Our only hope is that all the mids like MTSU, Cleve St and a couple of others win their tourney and regular season crown to insure that the other conferences nobody else in. MTSU would be very hard to ignore. Get ready to hear the phrase " body of work" constantly very soon.
  2. Stainbrook, or Skidmark as I like to call him, has a quick triggered temper and has been T'd up a few times. Hawkins got to the point that he couldn't take it anymore and briefly suspended him. Sparks could fly tonight. He's hands down one of the five ugliest people to ever ball in the MAC, or anywhere else for that matter
  3. I think Toledo hangs with OU tonight. They were in the games for a long whle with us, K ent and Buff. They continue to improve so we shall see.
  4. That has been a popular number here lately. Hope that you are correct
  5. Figured I'd get this started. I see this as a very dangerous game on the schedule. Sure , Akron has owned the Broncs but they played extremely well at K-ent on Saturday. Truth is, the Broncs should have won that game before losing in OT. W Mich has gone through the season with some significant injuries which have hurt their record. With guard Ward back, we had better bring our A game because when healthy, the Broncs are the best team in the west. I 'll say : Zips 76 Broncs 74
  6. I have arms like that, the hops too
  7. I can't recall ever seeing a LB make an interception 40+ yards down the field. Don't forget that monster hit on Green-Ellis as well. Chase had a fantastic game and you are right, if he doesn't make that play........... who knows??????????? Happy for Coach TC as well. He's a class act and a great coach.
  8. Our numbers are awful, no doubt. The saving grace is that the last time we were in a situation where we were getting fouled late we found a way to get the ball to Walsh. We need to hit 70% going forward or we will be going to Cleveland with great risk involved.
  9. That's a great number for the likes of EMU. Makes me think we get 5,000 or better for Louie, Charlie and Reggie
  10. I have not updated for awhile so here is the top 25 as we stand today. 11. It will be interesting to see if we work on our 3/4 trap or even full court pressing in order to get EMU to speed up to our pace. I doubt if KD will do it though. I just don't like the idea of a lesser team coming into our place and dictating tempo. With our depth, this is the perfect spot to be a little creative. Zips 71 EMU 60
  12. That is funny, May I suggest calling him Skidmark
  13. But having the conference's best player makes up for many sins no? I thought that the team would be a little flat last night so I am not too concerned. It seems to me that when we needed intensity against K E N T we got it. I expect to observe this pattern to continue. We are just fine. We will be where we need to be in March with a 1 or 2 seed and that is all that really matters now.
  14. Couldn't say it any better. It seems like some here can't recall home losses to the likes of N Ill and Eastern Mich in recent seasons. Even though Toledo played well and cut into our lead, I never felt that we were truly threatened.
  15. I thought Toledo played great on the offensive end last night. They have come a long, long way.
  16. Thanks much JSF, I recalled the game winner but forgot about the Humpty 3 to send it to OT. He essentially won the game twice for us when it appeared that we were toast. Glad you had this one archived for us. We have certainly lived on the edge while playing in Cleveland. McNees saved our butts a couple of times as well with late heroics. I have been to macreportonline many times but never checked out the archives. Great stuff from you and your fellow writers.
  17. Give Toledo's vast improvement from last season, I would have no problem with him winning the MAC MVP this year
  18. Can't make the next two because of neck surgery last week. Bring it home by 14 boys !
  19. I bet on them much more than against. I'd gladly piss away a few bucks to see them put on a show and win by 30.
  20. Uhhh, if they think he's a negative factor. Otherwise the number would have gone up . I took Toledo earlier +14', does this make me a traitor ???
  21. I worry about games like this. We are fresh off a solid road trip and come back to face another one of the MAC cellar dwellers . I recall the Toledo game in the '09 tourney somewhat when we needed a miracle play ( By Humpty??) to put it into overtime. Granted, Toledo had a much better team that season led by Amos and K E N T. I predict that we come out sluggish again and need a second half run to put the Rockets away. The line is 14' and and the Zips should cover but we just don't blow teams out . Talk me out of a play on Toledo.
