  1. I was actually focusing on your comment "This idiot took a pay cut to win fewer games, go to no bowl games, have zero chance at a division title and basically kill his career." I don't think it would be at all difficult to find tons of fans of other MAC teams who would hold this belief about Akron football.
  2. Unfortunately, your observation could also be made about to the latest Akron hire (although I hope this is not the case).
  3. So, NIL money is good because it promotes competition. When are high school administrators going to come to their senses and start allowing NIL money for high school football and basketball players?
  4. We could use a player or two now with Cody's enthusiasm. He was one talented player and In my opinion the best player ever at Akron with one half of his head shaved.
  5. I guess it just depends on ones definition of "bottom of the barrel" and "slightly above bottom of the barrel." We appear to agree on the former, but not the latter.
  6. Kind of depressed to see that the new regime has improved our recruiting from bottom of the barrel to just above the bottom of the barrel.
  7. I can hardly wait til the Zips crack that 100 mark so I can brag about it to all my friends. Me: "Look out fellows; the Zips just had what at least one rating service is calling the 99th best recruiting class in the country! Are you hearing me, the 99th best?" Friend: "How many teams are there?" Me: "I forget the exact number but it's somewhere in the thousands." Friend: "Wow."
  8. According to the Captain, if the Zips finish in the top 102 it will be their highest ranking since 2010. Either way; 100 or 102; talk about setting the bar low. Still, can't wait for our victory over Temple next September 2nd.
  9. Besides Myles and Clayton who do you think will leave?
  10. You do realize you are disagreeing with the Grate One don't you?
  11. I hope your assessment is correct. However, I think he still deserves to be on the Ryan Bain watch list for next season.
  12. Someone should have pointed that out to Max before he signed with them. I'm pretty sure that would have prevented him from signing with them.
  13. Never had a reason to root for or against BC before. Now I hate them.
  14. I agree. Looks like guys in the portal are waiting to see if they can sign with someone, anyone, other than Akron. Hope the leftovers that we get can help the team.
  15. It may be doable, but if I was forced to bet, I would bet against it.
  16. Maybe because by that time he was dead and began to stink up the place.
  17. We have to do all we can then to prevent them from sneaking Tommy into the game against the Zips.
  18. This is twice in this thread you have mentioned Muskingon. Who the hell is Muskingon?
  19. This is a fantastic answer because it's the same one I would have given if I was answering my question. Let's make it simpler. Anyone with stats on the percentage of ATHs that end up on defense/offense/washouts.
  20. If I was in charge, I would pass. Only one year left on a guy with the potential to become our next Ryan Bain.
  21. Curious but too lazy to research it myself. Any informed insights appreciated. 1) What percentage of ATHs make the playing field? 2) What position do ATHs end up playing?
  22. I did a player search on 247 from 2023 back to 2018 and can't find anything on Lemuel Watley-Neely.
  23. A sad fact is unless things change around here and stay changed in another 6 years at least half these teams will be ranked better than the Zips.
  24. Which is really weird because Iowa which is two days behind us is also west of Ohio but east of Oklahoma.
  25. I notice you listed the QBs in alphabetical order or was that a coincidence?. I prefer the random order you used in the other position update threads; made it more fun to try and locate a particular player.
