Looks more like Akron highlights than Cuse.In general, Cuse fans/writers have a pretty high opinion of their schools football history. OK they did have a kid named Jim Brown play for them, but I don't recall them being the powerhouse they seem to recall.

Not as informative as GoZips post, but another really good idea. Do you suggest that the tourney that remains switch their scheduled dates to those scheduled for the collapsed tourney so that teams from the collapsed tourney are sure to be able to fill in, or should the remaining tourney keep its original dates and maybe one or more of the teams from the collapsed tourney can play a split squad in the surviving tourney and an already scheduled regular game that conflicts with the remaining tourney?

I believe you have successfully grasped the concept. On a related matter. In the early 1970s the men's swimming coach predicted before the season started that the Akron squad may be the first swim team that needed a life guard. They ended the season 9-2. Hope the same thing works for the footballers.

Maybe if the baseball stadium were configured correctly, it could also be used as the new soccer field.

OK, this may be going out on a limb a little bit, but I have a very strong feeling this could happen. My pick for the team we upset at the last second this year is the University of Miami. Here's how I see that occurring. Wake Forest is scheduled to play the Hurricanes in Coral Gables on October 25. I believe the entire Wake Forest team will go on strike to protest Hillary Clinton stealing the Democrat nomination from Obama through back room dealings at the convention. THe ACC office will scramble to find a replacement from the teams that have a bye for that Saturday and select the Zips to fill in. The game will be played just as the effects of Hurricane Marco are being felt in the Miami area. The Zips win with 22 seconds remaining in the game as an Akron pass gets a boost from the wind and flies 84 yards in the air for a completion and touchdown. Given their Herculean effort the Zips are offered and accept entry into the Big East Conference. And they all live happily ever after.

Maybe we can get him for his senior year after he transfers.

He hurt himself in the first practice he took place in during last season. Either tore his ACL or something with his ankle. Needless to say it wasnt very good. He will be at camp once it opens this week. Also coming to camp a BIG NAME running back! Could be the the best recruit in the MAC by far next to Deryn Bowser.Unless you're going to name names and give some details, please don't bother even mentioning stuff like this. It's beyond frustrating for those of us not "in the know". OK, I double checked my source and I may have misunderstood his or her statement. Turns out it is a 2 for 1 deal, and the schools colors are not currently orange and green, but will be by the time the first of the three games is played. This will be thee BIGGEST home Bball game ever played by the Zips.

I have access to information which allows me to fill in some of the gaps in the original post. My source's initials are R.H. but he does not go by R. The colors of the school in question are green and orange and it is a home and home series. Thats all I can say for now BUT there is MUCH more.
