I deleted it on 2nd thought because I actually don't like that strategy either. It's a tough situation with the unpredictability of NCAA refs. There is a week to prepare for UConn, and I do think we have capable players on the bench. But, I'd also prefer not to purposely mess around with what has been working.

Some great team saves by Wan Kuzri Wan Kamal and Matt Dreas a short while back. Amazing defense on the goal line to keep Marquette from scoring.

Agreed. The difference for me is that my expectations for the Men's team are high because of their history...championships are expected from them. I don't expect them to go undefeated, but to have gone since 2018 without an NCAA Tourney win is repugnant. I believe in our players. The talent and chemistry are there as we've seen in this current winning streak, but anything short of an NCAA Tourney berth and late November games is not the standard and should not be acceptable at Akron. Unfortunately, not so with the Women's team. I agree with your comments and am equally frustrated with the seeming lack of strategy. I've been patient knowing this is Jen's 3rd season, and she really only has had 2 seasons to recruit. Next season, her 3rd year recruiting, is when I expect to see results.

Congratulations to our Zips, especially the seniors, for a great win on Senior night. Need to continue to focus with 3 of the four remaining games on the road. Hope the week between games helps heal from some of the bumps last night. GO ZIPS!!!

Yedlin has amassed 91 caps for the USMNT, with the first coming just months before the World Cup. He was a shock inclusion that summer, but he proved himself worth time and time again. A key player throughout some of those down years, Yedlin was the perfect veteran to help lead the new generation back to a World Cup.

Thanks whatever coaches’ family member you are. Happy you’re standing up for your relatives. It’s awesome to win a few games. Not arguing with that but relying on Mitch Budler to stand on his head every game as well as team saves is not going to lead to post season success. Not likely to go far post season playing like this. But please continue being drunk on a few W’s. 🤪 Pro teams, including the beloved Arsenal, use more subs than the Zips.
