  1. People need to quit making a big deal of the size of the school. It's ~15 people making a difference. How many students do Duke, Nova, Wake Forest, etc have?
  2. I wasn't around, but is have to say the citadel's win would be up there. go mid majors!
  3. Poor guy picked Butler to come in 3rd in the Horizon, didn't he?
  4. If Bardo is coaching Zeke I won't ever come to another game lol
  5. That video was really cool. Some interviews through the season would be cool.
  6. If I remember correctly, this issue was a sticking point between the city and the university. The city wants to build a 10,000 - 12,000-seat arena whereas the university wants an 8,000-seat arena. Also, the city wants a multi-purpose arena (NBA-style also suitable for hockey, indoor soccer & arena football) whereas the university wants a basketball-specific arena (basketball, volleyball). I'm with the UA on this one. Those NBA-style arenas are, ironically, pretty awful for watching basketball. An 8,000-seat basketball specific arena, where every seat in the house would be a good one, is, IMHO, much preferable. i beg to differ. if we can get hockey in akron, and a new arena, i would be ecstatic. plus, the Q has both, and is a nice setup. Consol Energy Center (new Penguins arena) conforms to basketball, as Pitt/Duquesne have a few games there, and also have NCAA tourney games next year. and imo, Consol and the Q are great venues for either sport. granted these both seat 18,000-20,000, so i can't comment on how a 10,000 seat duel-purpose barn would look like.
  7. Seriously though, if they put in a cool bar/restaurant there, exchange would be pretty sweet. Pat's pub just opened, it's a cool little place. Along with BW3's, Pint's, Thursday's, Manny's should be opening soon...nice little "hub" of activity there on campus to go along with the downtown scene.
  8. Where did it move to if you care to share. I drove past it a week or two ago. A few streets south of exchange...next to 76. Came back after break and the signs on the "old" building are gone along with any activity around it.
  9. We also get valpo at home, no? They improved a lot this year iirc.
  10. Guess no one noticed, but CSL Plasma moved.
  11. Akron downtown IS part of campus. There will be no attendance difference due to the location of campus/city. People are overestimating the size of our city. This isn't Philadelphia.
  12. Exciting. I'm more excited for Akron basketball than I've ever been. Hopefully "Joe Akron" is excited over how good we are going to be
  13. KD already knows what I wrote. I speak with him frequently. In case you haven't figured it out; it was my advice about cutting back on running so many offensive sets. And, why the snide? Because I think he knows what he's doing. anyway, i think a long post criticizing your "friend" isn't the way to go about it, but whatev.
  14. Hey GoZips, I'm sure KD would be glad to hear your insight, give him a call. You're friends, right?
  15. I'm honestly really excited for next year. Youtube Tom, don't let KD ever leave.
  16. I would also be a little concerned about Dakotah Euton. There is going to be a log-jam at his position if Nik stays and Harney and Treadwell both get eligible. Conceivably he could be burried pretty far down the depth chart. This is true, but maybe Euton could take a redshirt year. I still think he will be a player. Or at least I hope so. Kid's a winner, and I wanna see our 4/5 man step out and hit some threes
  17. I'd look for him to give the ole boot to one of the returnees if Nik comes back. Is there a realistic chance of Green ever being a contributor? Not knocking the kid, I really know nothing about him.
  18. I just said in another thread, and yes I will really miss the seniors that are gone, but if Nik stays, we can win near 30 games. Pessimists flame away, but I think Zeke is going to dominate. Give him a reliable senior 4 man down there with him, and we can hang with the big boys.
  19. If Nik stays, we can win 30 games next year. Nik, Diggs, Zeke, a matured Abreu, Mclanahan...hell of a starting five, with the new guys who could potentially be very good. Already looking forward to it.
  20. Gonna miss these guys. Gave a great effort, but the shots just didn't drop. I will say, the way Zeke has developed, if we make it to the tourney in the next two years, we will win a game. Please Nik, stay! You could dominate the MAC next year.
  21. We can win this. Zeke will NOT go 1-9 or whatever in the second half. As long as Hansbrough doesn't completely take over, we have a good chance.
  22. I understand what you guys are saying, but quite frankly, we don't need anyone else to win. Just take care of our own business. Gonzaga didn't need anyone, and has kinda slipped the past couple years with saint mary's emergence as a WCC power. we want to be the gonzaga of the east...well the gonzaga of the west did it by themselves. Count me in the rooting against Can't in the NIT camp.
  23. Whatever happened to wearing LeBron unis? I love all the shout outs on twitter (millions of people see it) but we still haven't gotten much besides some shoes, to be honest. *disclaimer* I'm not a Cav fan/LeBron hater, in fact, I couldn't care less about the NBA.
  24. We need to beat programs, things will take care of themselves. Ball State, NIU, whoever out west, go beat some good programs...as for our archrival, i hope they lose by 40.
  25. I hope they lose by 40. In another note, they just showed highlights from saturday hahahahaha
