20 is a very low number. Last season, there were 9 players on the roster from Summit county. Also 8 from Cuyahoga, 2 from Stark, 2 from Lake, 2 from Carroll, 1 from Portage, 1 from Wayne, 1 from Lorain, 1 from Ashtabula, and 1 from Mahoning. That's 28 players from within an hour drive from campus. 28 players with family that can go to every home game with minimal effort. I think closer to 40 players from the area would be enough to gain some local interest. The problem is, as Bowden said at the signing day press conference, it's good to get these local players but you don't want to take a kid just because he's local. They need to be able to play.

Looks like Kretzer has a concussion. Again, how does getting elbowed in the face result in a foul?

Does UB normally get fouls called on opponents who have their faces busted up by a Bull elbow? Does UB's coach have an ounce of class?

Assuming he is even allowed back on campus, he'll have to pay his own way. There aren't any scholarships available.

I see him redshirting next season, unless he proves to be an excellent ball handler and is more of a combo guard than a pure SG. Aaron Jackson is also a SG and will have benefited from a year of practice with the team. BJ Gladden is more versatile and could play a number of positions.

Wanna know a secret? This weekend is traditionally the first weekend since winter break where most students go home, because of President's Day. Not an excuse, since there wasn't really any promotions happening for the game. The Rowdies twitter account was completely silent leading up to it.

It was good to see the guards/wings drive to the hoop; they just need to finish their layups. Glad to see Deji back, looked rusty but should be better next game. Pat looked better, though he has a strange ability to get fouls called on him just by being in the general vicinity of an opposing player. We won despite horrible shooting percentages from the FT line and especially the 3-point line. Kwan looks tired, and missed absolutely everything.

The rotation will be interesting. Whatever it is, we better have it figured out.
