I think most of the lack of crowds this year are what Zipsvoice pointed out in that we opened on the road early and lost a couple games. I think people now expect us to win and it may only be considered "sexy" to go to a game if we are #1 in the country. People are becoming immune to having "just a top 25" soccer program and only care if we are #1. I still go and enjoy my time but that is where I am thinking the attendance going down is from.

Buffalo loses to Rhode Island There is a new rule this year that allows you to play an extra exhibition game if its for "charity". Buffalo took advantage by getting to play a quality program in Rhode Island. Duquense on the other hand used it to play power Chatham. Not sure when this rule got implemented and why we didn't take advantage.

So with no lights on WMU's field and with Daylight Savings this weekend, when do we expect games to be played next Friday? Maybe 11 and 1:30? Do you think we would play in the first or second game? They need to leave enough time in case one or both games go to OT/PK's. Just trying to plan some "work" meetings so I can watch it at the office. I am hoping WMU will announce specifics on Sunday.

It was about Giving "Roosday" every Tuesday in November. If you give $25 you get a Zippy decal and if you give $50 you are eligible for the Weekly Prize (Sounds like it will vary between Zips sports tickets, maybe some EJ tickets or something else if I was reading between the lines correctly). Alright Skip you talked me out of it. I will change it to 5-6 after doing further research. The league switched to the 18 game schedule 3 years ago. 2016 - Akron had 5 losses 2015 - CM, Buffalo, Kent had 6 losses 2014 - WM, Toledo had 4 losses So I guess I see the league similar to 2015 in terms of parity.

A little surprised that Buffalo was picked with that overwhelming majority. I was expecting maybe Kent to lead the way with around 12 first place votes, with the rest pretty evenly spread between Buffalo, Ohio, and Akron in the east. I still think we have a chance at 20 wins as I am a homer and I think there will be a lot of parity in the MAC this year. I think 6-7 losses in league play could be in line to win the east.

Kwan off to a good start for the Roos After 4 games he is leading the team in minutes played, 3rd in scoring, leading rebounder, and is shooting well at almost 50% from 3.

First big news. Jimond changed his last name to Ivory per the name plate in front of him! Come on people, get it right.

I took a look again and I don't think there was any head to head contact. It actually wasn't much. It looked like to me #14 basically pinched/grabbed around the chest area of the linesman's jersey and snapped it while he said something walking by. The linesman's immediate reaction was to go over to discuss it with the head official.

Figured I would start a thread for our first game in less than 3 weeks as I am trying to watch (ESPN3 feed keeps cutting out) the Coaches vs. Cancer media day. I will try to summarize what gets said if they ever get the feed back up.

Looks like Dambrot hasn't played since logging 25 minutes against Wake in mid-September. I am assuming that it was injury related but didn't search long enough to find anything.

Yeah, it almost look like there may have been a little head to head contact but I need to rewatch it again. It wasn't a full on WWE headbutt but there appeared to be some contact where there shouldn't be any.

#14 for BG definitely said something to one of the line judges in the scrum and may have made contact with him that caused the red card. You could see some of it on the replay

With needing WMU to lose 1 and lose or tie another game with 3 games remaining for us to have a chance to host the MAC tourney, does anyone think this can happen? I do and it starts tonight where they play at West Virginia. Then they have SIU at home next Saturday before finishing with BG at home November 4. Basically need West Virginia to win tonight as I think one of the other 2 teams could pull out a draw.

I agree with BZG here. EZ had the ball behind him and was reaching back to get it. What contact there was, I don't think it was clear to give a PK (but I'll take it).

They had a stream on their website for the soccer game so maybe it will be something similar.

Looks like JB's snapcount decreased to 50% this game.  I hope that isn't a sign of things to come.
