I don't know if they still did but the used to offer discounted tickets maybe $10, for the Broadway in Akron shows and you could get the best unsold seats in the house. It was a nice perk when I was in school.
Terrible move for the U. I will be sending back the next request for money they send in the mail with a note that when they bring back Broadway in Akron I will reconsider giving them a donation.
My wife and I have had season tickets to Broadway in Akron for over 10 years. It would be a huge disappointment if this goes away. It doesn't seem like anyone at the U can answer if it is or not. I think the format for bringing in shows was switched to a few years ago put the show on the hook to sell tickets rather than Akron agree to pay them call it $250k and if Akron sells enough tickets they make money and if they don't they lose. Not sure if that constitutes a rental or not.

Been a pretty quiet front this summer in regards to Zips basketball. Are the Zips players no longer playing in the Cleveland/Akron Pro Am league at Walsh? I briefly looked through some videos and didn't see any Zips but there was a Harney sighting. Did the NCAA now make these off limits for D1 schools or is there something else going on for the Zips to not be playing there?
Another good pizza place is Erika's outside Doylestown. They only take cash and check and only serve pizza as food and have a good selection of beers. What makes the pizza good is the secret "shake" of spices you pour on the pizza. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Erikas-Pizza/117517511600789
Anyone know if the trip to Brazil is happening this summer? I think it was dependent on fundraising and since we haven't seen much on it maybe it isn't happening.
For some reason I thought Zach Paul might have graduated when I didn't see him out there. I think kicking game should be a strength in the MAC with him back. Stein has a good leg and hopefully accuracy has improved.
Peter's team won the state championship earlier this month. Here is an article on the semifinal game http://www.phenomhoopreport.com/game-report-providence-day-vs-greensboro-day/ From the championship he only had 4 points due to foul trouble but Giles only had 11 http://www.bigshots.net/big-shots-today/ncisaa-finals-recap-2-a3-a-all-state-teams/
