  1. Thanks for the kind words guys. I regret not capturing the tailgating atmosphere. It was pretty impressive. I would guess half of the fans that were tailgating, did not go through the gates. Many more images at Go Zips dot com.

  4. Congratulations to Johnnyzip84!!! He was the only one to answer all three questions correctly. On top of that, he has won two weeks in a row answering 6 straight. Very impressive. Even though the Zips have a bye week, look for MAC related questions on this weeks edition of Three for Thursday.
  5. That would make sense since he has more attempts than anybody in the country. I hope the Zips front four can make an uncomfortable pocket for him tomorrow. BG's uptempo offense gets the ball out of his hands quickly more often than not though. Hope they wear themselves out, and our rotation prevails. 50 and cloudy with no rain tomorrow. Does it only rain at Infocision on Saturdays?
  6. He calls an eleven point underdog a "slight" upset? I would quantify that as a "big" upset. Nick makes a good point here... Why isn't BG QB Matt Johnson receiving any sort of Heisman press? I know the MAC doesn't have much of a national following and many in the MAC News Media are pathetic at best with their local coverage...but this guy is putting up video game numberss right now and someone should be taking notice. ....and wondered the same myself. BG should be doing more for him. The Zips sure did Charlie a solid on this front. Doesn't really matter if you win or not, but it gets you noticed on a national level that helps get your foot into the NFL process.
  7. Z360 previews some basketball https://youtu.be/4bmQGYadvKQ?t=290 KD: We have been trying to simplify the offense (I have been suggestion this for years, happy to finally hear it) KD: We have been fooling around with getting two big guys in the game Jake Kretzer: I have been working on getting to the rim more
  8. Z360 interviews TW13 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bmQGYadvKQ&feature=youtu.be&t=60 AJ: Tommy likes throwing more than running. (Nice to see AJ interviewed, I would like to see/hear more) Conor: Tommy does a better job of managing the game this year.
  9. The two MAC players I suggested above did a piece that will air on Fox Sunday morning pregame. Interesting relationship.
  10. I don't think getting upset by an 11 point underdog at home on homecoming warrants a firing, but you may be right.
  11. Coach Babers Press Conference • Akron could be the best defense in the east. Their front seven are excellent. Free safety that is active. Their defense is "Big Ten" physical. • BG guys have started locking into their roles. • What makes the offense so complex? I don't want to say too much. Three teams in the conference are imitating our offense. Hmmmm.... • We can get better. We had six incompletions. • TW13 is a passer/slasher like they have at Ohio State. • Akron has the complete package. Defensive back Alfonso Mack has his own press conference and notices how strong TW13's arm is. Tight end Derek Lee has his own press conference and indicates BG has so many weapons, it's hard to cover them all.
  12. Falcons' Offense Has Record-Setting Day • Bowling Green set new school records for total yardage (725) and passing yardage (519) in Saturday's 62-38 win over UMass. • The previous record of 706 yards was set vs. Grand Valley in 1978. • BGSU football played 431 games in between 700-yard offensive performances. The last time BGSU went over 700 yards (1978), head coach Dino Babers was in high school. Johnson Sets New Mark At The Doyt • Matt Johnson passed for 450 yards on Saturday against UMass, setting a new record for most passing yards in a game at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. • Johnson, who surpassed Ben Roethlisberger's previous record of 440 yards set in 2003, went 33-for-39 in the game with five touchdowns. • Johnson's 84.6% completion rate was tied for fifth-best in school history for a single game. But, of those individuals in the top five, Johnson's 39 pass attempts on Saturday were 25 more than any other QB on that list. Fans Witness History Saturday At The Doyt • The 100 combined points on Saturday between BGSU and UMass, which saw the Falcons claim a 62-38 win, was the highest scoring game ever at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. Source
  13. Senior NT Cody Grice invites fans to wear their costumes to the Zips' Hall-ROO-ween game against Central Michigan on Oct. 31. Kickoff is 2 p.m.
  14. Feel free to discuss the reasoning behind your answers. Members that answer all three correctly will be recognized Sunday morning. Last weeks winners: zozips19, johnnyzips84, and Z.I.P.
  15. • BG runs a fast paced uptempo offense. • We've gotten better at things offensively. • Kyle Ritz is a smart (engineering student), still learning, tough, quick learner. • Jerome Lane is raw, and I expect a safety over top of him now a lot. That will open other things up.
  16. The O/U for the game is at 68 ! Link for anybody that wants to watch BG replays against Memphis, Buffalo, or UMass. BG's offense is very versatile, running all kinds of personnel sets; 12, 21, 00, 10, 22, 11... They can run the power I one play, and spread em out the next. Matt Johnson is deceptive and strong enough to make every throw. Their offense reminds me of someone else. More on that later.
  17. Agreed. I'm more impressed by the unselfishness of Jerome willing to move from an area of strength, to an area of weakness. Like you state, he was having good success where he was. He must have a lot of confidence in his abilities. GREAT image BTW.
  18. I can't wait to see a lean 295 pounder. Then there’s Johnson, who may be the linchpin to the Zips’ potential success. “He’s practiced harder than he has previously,” Dambrot said of the 6-10, 295-pound Johnson, who is lean and looks more muscular than a season ago. “Now, if things don’t go well for him that will be the key, but he’s done a pretty good job so far.”
  19. Robotham has yet to be cleared for full contact, per GT of the BJ.
  20. I think Jerome's ceiling is high. If I were Jerome, I would seek some kind of summer working out program with a professional. I think he is only scratching the surface. He has natural seperatlon ability. It would be a huge benefit for him to learn all the nuances of route running and professional catching techniques. I would contact these former MAC players. If you don't appreciate Jerome, and you are at a game, take a few series and watch him run all his routes. Don't watch the ball, just watch him. Post back in this thread and let us know how many times he was covered.
  21. Lots of nice photos at Go Zips dot com. As I mentioned previously..."I couldn't help but notice EMU's DB Anthony Brown. What a great effort he showed with that club on his hand. I think he had five tackles with that thing, and broke on one of TW13's mistakes where he would have had a pick six if it weren't for that "cast." I'm not sure what his issue was, I'm assuming some sort of break" Photo from gozips.com
  22. Aired last week. Not bad for a Mama's boy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMu0hc9Xozc He'll need to carry his team tonight behind a third string QB.
  23. I'll have a new one every Thursday morning during the season.
  24. Pitt continues to roll. Peterman ranked 24th best QB in the nation.
