You just described every 7 on 7 practice that took place in college football for the last ten years. That's why you won't find much posted about it here. It is pretty meaningless from a fan's perspective.

This is a good practice for PN7 and his new receivers to get on the same page. GP1 posed the question back in January; who is going to catch the ball? This was before Carter was moved to WR, but I bet PN7 is building some confidence in his receivers with these 7-7 drills. That's what it's good for.

Akron isn't a BCS school. We are a MAC school. We have enough talent to win in the MAC. Totally agree. I watched enough MAC football last year to know we can win this year. Most need to see that quote in print from the captains that says "everybody is really buying into the system" That usually feeds the flock. Stay tuned...

You really have to sift through a sea of cr@p. I have learned in the last week that Chauncey Gilliam is doing well in school. I read a former bball player for over a year and learned NOTHING except the dude took a LOT of naps and has awful grammar. It depends on the person. I would really like somebody on our football team that plays defense to do a good job of tweeting. It could be interesting, but most the time it's not.

PS I still think you should order the Rams replica jersey with 'SEWELL 56' on it. Then make sure you show the AD, coach, assistant AD & anybody else you can think of what you had to do get the jersey you wanted. Leave the Rams logo though. It will be like a "dig" against the fact you can't get what you want. Take a picture of it, post it here, send it to "ask the AD"...etc.
