  1. How much will LBJ donate to the University of Akron if he makes 1.94 BILLION DOLLARS!?!? We should be able to get that new basketball arena. THAT should put Akron on the map LBJ. That's what you want...right?
  2. Z had an injury that was slowing him at the beginning of last year that he played through.
  3. One of my favorites.
  4. I would guess it's the grad assistants making contact on facebook and not iCoach.
  5. I still remember that billboard. It was pretty cool. It might have been our last football marketing billboard. Now they just call me every week and say "are you going to buy tickets" I am, I just want to see how many times this guy calls before the season starts. So far 4 times.
  6. My great aunt would have a good saying every time I said "I hope" when referring to sports. I think it would probably apply here. I'll bite... what did your great aunt say? Me sainted Granny use to say .... "shite in one hand and wish in the other. Then see which one fills up first." That's the one. She had a similar one when I would say "I thought..."
  7. ...And the little penguin dropping.
  8. Thank you for replying.

  10. Oren Wilson sounds like trouble to me.
  11. Source? Scout forums. It would be advantageous to ZN readers if you would type...."Scout forums (include link here) suggests that (players name here) might be transferring to Akron"
  12. If I said it once, I said it 10 times last year, our staff could not adjust a game plan to save their....well, job I guess. That is one of the things I will be watching close this year to evaluate iCoach. Win or lose. I think both of our new schemes lend themselves to a better chance of success in this department.
  13. AWESOME! I love it!
  14. This photo is on gozips. I'm surprised some (home for the summer) of our ZN members aren't posting photography here. Maybe this will motivate someone.
  15. Sometimes I read a post and think, what is (fill in the blank) going to think when they read this. How long ago was everybody telling Z he should gain weight? Now when he is, some are concerned he is gaining too much weight?!? Zeke is on a calorie plan. He is doing what KD has instructed.
  16. Let us know how it goes.
  17. This was on the Morning Jolt. I had never seen it before.
  18. If you put so much faith in these things, just look at the Sporting News rankings. According to them, we have a "play-maker" on each side of the ball. I'm constantly amazed how people put validity in these "rankings."
  19. Salary cap the league, then no matter who plays, it will be exciting. Fix the root of the problem. The luxury tax system in place now does not work FOR THE FAN. Wake me up after the strike.
  20. At least those people care enough to discuss with you as to why they are not in love with the sport that you are. If you are confused as to why soccer is not popular in the US, those might be the people to listen to. After watching a weekend of Zips final four soccer last year and not seeing a goal scored, and catching the last 3 minutes of the Paraguay "victory" this afternoon. My second biggest problem with the sport, is the way soccer ends a tie. I have to think that this HAS to bother real soccer fans (considering myself just an ignorant fan). I know from "playing" pickup soccer for ten minutes in the backyard with one of my friends that played high school soccer that I have no talent when it comes to dribbling or defending, he can run circles around me. I might, be able to get in shape enough to run the field the way players do, but I doubt it. I appreciate the talent that a soccer player has and don't for a second think I could be valuable to any 12 year old team. My feet don't work like that. BUT I'm sure I would have a fifty percent chance of scoring on a goalie with a free kick. I think it is a insult to the game to decide games on penalty kicks. What an awful way to decide a soccer game...a kickball contest. It takes so much talent to play 99 percent of the game and you decide the outcome of the game with the 1 percent that requires the least amount of talent. Why is it that NFL, MLB, NHL, NASCAR constantly talk about changing their rules and making the game better for the fan, but soccer-guy gets offended when you try to discuss a change? I don't get it.
  21. That's funny. Half of this board doesn't even think PN7 is our starter.
  22. Born in 1978
  23. Unless that QB sees more playing time elsewhere because he suspects the position could be locked down for 3 years. Buffalo now has 4 QBs coming in the class of 2010, and Licata is their first of 2011. Guess UB's staff isn't happy with those 4 then, probably good decision by him. If QB's at UB get the calls they did against the Zips last year, I'd go there too.
