This has been up for a full day and no one has commented? Is it because we all just assumed he was a lock for this? Well done Zeke! Only the 3rd player in MAC history to win this award back to back!
The quarterfinals got flip flopped. Buffalo is on Akron's side of the bracket and EMU is on Ohio's. I feel that Akron has the much tougher bracket then OU since we have Buffalo and Can't. OU only has Western on their side.
I wasn't expecting them to cut down the nets last night. When Akron clintched last year KD did not allow them to cut down the nets, trying to make them more hungry for the Q.
Does anyone know what OU's RPI was at the end of last year? I think now that we are able to establish we are a top 50 RPI, I feel that should help a little bit since most teams are scheduling based on expected RPI.
Here is a quote from this:
"Q: Which basketball player do you look up to the most?
A: The player I look up to the most is Lebron James."
Looks like Lebron helped get another recruit.
If they are having a problem finding some opponents they should use this site. http://www.basketballtravelers.com/game-sc...board/?e_type=1
A quick look at good RPI teams:
Clemson looking for Home and Home
Boise State- H/H
Cincinatti- H/H
New Mexico St- H/H
Indiana St- H/H
Murray State- H/H
Robert Morris- H/H
Northern Iowa- H/H
Drake- H/H
Lousiville is looking for games with teams with RPI better than 200
A quick look on their board and they are still actively using the Akron game thread from several weeks ago. They also have started a new Akron thread for the game that is 3 games away for them. I think they really have a thing for us. It's ok bobkitties to confess your love for the Zips.
Anyone hear any rumors about who we are playing next year yet? What about spring games? I know Kentucky is coming to town April 6th for a spring game but thats it.
Per gozips.com
For the first time in program history, the Zips appeared in both the USA TODAY & AP polls at the same time. The Zips received two points in the coaches poll and four points in the AP poll.
One great nugget from their boards:
"I want Akron and NDSU to play just to see Marshall Bjorklund vs Zeke Marshall. Zeke is #1 in FG% and Marshall is #2."

I think that was referring to the part in Dambrot's post game last night when he said that Pat was the best walk on in the nation and that he has paid his own way all year.
