So we obviously have a good start to our OOC schedule with the solid lineup in the early season tournament. What else do we know about the schedule? Did Dambrot fill it up or will JG get to put his touch on the schedule?
I was against this hire in the beginning, but I'm coming around. I'm excited to see what JG can do at Akron. Hopefully he can talk Antino into staying and can bring in a couple JUCOs to fill the holes and we don't have to have a rebuilding year. It's a great day to be a Zip.
There's a difference between having MAC experience and having good MAC experience. He never finished higher than 3rd in the MAC. He was only able to reach 20 wins 2 out of the 4 years. He had IL ranked in the top 10 his first year there and 5 years later he's unemployed and only made the tournament his first year.
If they were trying to gauge the reaction of ZN, they should know that Jim Christian is a huge turnoff and I probably wouldn't support the team until he was gone. lol
A lot of my UNCW friends were clamoring for Jamion Christian to be their new coach and didn't get their wish. He would bring the high intense defense some posters here want. He was an assistant at VCU under Shaka and took the scheme with him.
Looks like not all the media in Pittsburgh is positive. http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/duquesne/2017/03/28/keith-dambrot-comment-central-michigan-duquesne-coach-lebron-james-akron/stories/201703280139?utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#link_time=1490722172
Tonight 2017 prospect Torry Patton tweeted he got his first division 1 offer from Akron. 14 minutes later he tweeted he got his second offer from...Duquesne. KD moving quick.
I had a class in the JAR in, I believe 2011. I know friends after that time that have had classes in the JAR as well. When did they stop using the classrooms?
I think hall gets about 20 tonight and the key will be limiting everyone else from getting involved. We need a big game from our guards tonight. Wish I was in Cleveland tonight, but I'll be cheering from NC. Go Zips.
