  1. MAC Championship appearances last 10 seasons: Akron: 8 Ohio: 3 Buffalo: 3 Kent: 2 CMU: 1 WMU: 1 Miami: 1 UT: 1 MAC Titles last 10 seasons: Akron: 3 Ohio: 2 Buffalo: 2 Kent: 1 WMU: 1 Miami: 1 This season we're 26-8 with a top 40 RPI, go undefeated at home, regular season champs, and lose on a buzzer beater in the Final and some of you guys want to fire Dambrot and/or the coaches. This site used to be good. I'm frustrated as hell too, but this is pure stupidity. I guess we should grab a guy that, IF he's successful with bolt town with the first success he has? And replace the guy (who is likely staying until he retires) who puts us in a spot to win the championship every single year? Stop. Just stop.
  2. Yep. It all comes down to the individual going through it.
  3. Maybe there's a reason.
  4. Pat is likely done for the season
  5. Oblowhard? Weak.
  6. Leave it to ZN to find a way to complain about paint.
  7. Zeke's chances have likely passed...some opportunities don't come around more than once. I don't know him personally but I think he'll soon start a career working with computer technology, and I believe he'll truly be happy.
  8. Why have they backed out of playing us several times? Why do they duck most in-state rivals who are any good?
  9. Basketball has been fantastic. Soccer has been dominant. Track and Field has been excellent. Women's basketball has become a really good program. Most of the negativity has surrounded Scarborough and his tone-deaf leadership, and only football has been a negative on the athletics side. That's enough to support a name change...???
  10. I wish this was an overreaction. It is not. Scarborough will try once again in January to push for a name change.
  11. I'm 100% certain I am not oblivious to what goes on within the program, but I do always appreciate your condescending nature and personal attacks to someone disagreeing with you. Thanks as always CK!
  12. The suggestion that the Zips were/are filled with troublemakers is both incorrect and irresponsible, as is the suggestion that players were/are consistently getting picked up by police.
  13. On which one? Hopefully not the one that punched a woman in the face...
  14. He was an at-risk kid from the start, and I'm not one to pass judgement on what someone else is going through or has gone through. He obviously had some off-court issues, but I'm not sure I'd attribute it to a bad attitude...more bad decision-making. I can't name individual plays from his 3 years here, but I know he had some pretty incredible ones. If Tree made better off-court decisions, he'd be on an NBA roster right now, and it wouldn't be because of his fundamentals.
  15. I disagree with not talking about this on public forums and social media. I love UA as much as anyone, so when I see the President/Trustees doing things I believe to be wrong, I'm going to call them out. Prospective students are swayed by what they see going on, not by my post on Facebook or Twitter. In my eyes, stepping up the criticism now may give us hope in fending off his next move of trying the name change again. And that is coming.
  16. Any bullet points about how Dr. Scarborough is preparing to push to change the name of the university despite denying it a few months ago?
  17. Tree was/is a pretty freakish athlete
  18. I didn't read it that way. I think it's more that some of our teams in the recent past have had chemistry issues and it has negatively impacted the on-court results.
  19. The Bulls lost Xavier Ford and Will Regan to graduation, Shannon Evans as a transfer, and Maurice O'Field and Torian Graham, who were supposed to be big additions, both followed Hurley to Arizona State. And they lost Hurley who, although a jerk, is a helluva coach. I'm not writing them off, but those aren't small losses.
  20. I know it's early but I've got the itch to talk some MAC basketball. At this point in the game, who do you see as the biggest threat to the Zips this season and why? I'm going with Central Michigan. I think Buffalo lost too much, including Hurley, as did Toledo and Can't State. Central Michigan brings back most of a team that won 23 games last season and reached the MAC Championship. With that said, I truly believe the Zips will be MAC Champions once again this March. We just need to avoid the injury bug this year and we'll be good to go - this team is loaded.
  21. The 4-5 transfer thing was always laughable, as was the idea that Noah would bolt.
  22. I highly doubt it.
  23. Zeke not making it in the NBA wasn't because of his lack of talent. He's got more skill than Whittington and N'dour. I think Pat could be on the NBA radar with a good senior season. It all depends which Pat we see - confident Pat or timid Pat.
