There are 351 Div 1 Basketball Programs. 68 make the "playoffs". Advancing to even the second round places teams in rarified air and is an accomplishment. Making the round of 16 or 4 is a success for all but the top 4-5 teams. College basketball is fun and the Zips are good at it. They have a great coach who is invested in the university and city. Enjoy it.

I hope Akron utilizes STO to produce their own events in addition to the scheduled conference offerings on Time Warner.

I am not included in their graduation stats though I graduated from Akron and went on to Northwestern University. I liked Akron due to the high percentage of older/more experienced students. Made for a better classroom environment. Is it true that Akron is not mandated by the state to remain open enrollment?

You can interpret whatever trends and attempt to apply logic to them. The data is there for all to see but arguments and conjecture are fluid enough to live on their own.

No correlation between wins and average attendance according to the data. You can however look at the shifts and trends in ave attendance and draw your own conclusions. I'll put some data together for other colleges (major, mid-major, and other sports).

I hope you are right about vision 2014 and finding a new place for posters besides over urinals in local establishments. The old bowden ball posters gave me stage fright. Vision 2020 does have a great ring though. See you in the fall. Keep up the enthusiasm.
