The zips are middle of the road in offense in points scored and yards including the ridiculous Morgan State romp. All of the Mac leaders are still better. We would win more games with one more td as well...oh wait how many games have we lost by 1 td? 2. A couple of guys in the middle wont do much.

That might be true in the NFL but you can win the MACC by putting up points. You can also put butts in the seats and draw in more talent. See the Urban Meyer experience at OSU. Losing JT will probably go down as the turning point for OSU and possibly the BIG 10 in terms of excitement, national exposure, and recruiting potential.

Exactly. Time to double down on offense. We have zero depth on both sides of the ball. Build on the young offensive talent to bridge some of the gap between us and the Mac. We could win 5-7 games a year playing stellar offense...put points up and let the other teams try to catch you. We will begin to get better talent if we stand out and have an identity. After 2 or three years start on D. We need to get better so that better players will come. Play to our current strength. We all talk about the bare cupboard coach left. This is a two phase building plan that will bring us back faster than trying to convince players we don't suck in all phases.

TB should focus recruiting efforts on one side of the ball. You can win in the MAC playing great offense. Wait for the other guy to make a mistake.

He doesn't have the wins or the arm to deserve attention. Wins some damn games before thinking NFL. Steve f Austin says win some games. Don't know that guy but I bet he didn't freak out under pressure.

Saw Dalton enjoying himself at the bars tonight. Play Phil to get experience. Dalton looked like crap today freaking out under preside and throwing into coverage multiple times. The zips offense looked good today despite the play at qb.

The Chinese

I am having 15-20 people up for an annual tailgate tomorrow. I was out of town this week and forgot to arrange a parking pass in lot 9. Do any of you happen to have an extra pass available for purchase so we can enjoy the atmosphere?

This can all be summed up with...win games that matter and you could play in a farm field and people would show up to watch. Same rule applies to Football, baseball, basketball, soccer, or thumb wrestling matches.

I wound not call first energy a poor facility. Being a bit dramatic here guys.

Joe Akron will/may become a Zips fan and possibly a ZNO member if inspired by one of the following: 1.) A personal connection to the University Community (Alumni, parent, friend) 2.) Having their inner sports fan engaged by on the field/court/pitch performance 3.) Feeling like the University Community is open to new members w/o affiliation beyond proximity (merging the values presented in marketing with those of the local community AKA giving the program a local flavor) 4.) Consciousness of the value of supporting local programs (outsourced inspiration and convenience)

I don't think the losses to Valpo and Duquesne matter as much to Joe as winning big games against regional name schools. Joe Akron is Joe Akron because he does not follow the Zips religiously like us. He doesn't stream games on a crappy Horizon league feed to see the losses. The team needs to win at home and take care of business regionally. Granted the Zips should eliminate those tough losses but more importantly the program needs to be on the court with better competition.

I would really like to see Brian come back to Akron. Why would Akron be a better showcase than OSU? I think Akron is a safer play for him and most likely he could fall in as a late round NFL pick. OSU on the surface has great upside though his NFL hopes might be dashed if he doesn't hit the ground running in a tough transition.

Coach Tressel should come to Akron and build a winner free of the pressures of big time BCS football.
