  1. If the Mac-Sports feed is lousy, try FirstRowSports
  2. I guess Larry Page, CEO of Google, is a Michigan alum. Well done sir!
  3. Oustanding!
  4. Great news! Thanks for bringing it up MRFoss
  5. The 12 seed seems to be a sweet spot for upsets. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writ...12-5/index.html
  6. Zeke just got his license? Wow!
  7. This is asinine. NE Ohio fans choosing to root for a college team 2.5 hours south when there are three solid local programs in the area has no comparison to me rooting for a pro team that is located 30 minutes up the highway when the next nearest pro team is several hours away. Apples and Oranges to say the least.
  8. 3237 I believe. Very underwhelming.
  9. We didn't play poorly enough to deserve a tie in the first half. That Sulivan kid didn't miss. ONce he began missing shots, the Zips were clearly the superior team. Tree was dynamite tonight!
  10. True, but the exposure from them going to a Zips game would be great for the program. Personally, I'm a big Cleveland fan. Grew up rooting for the pro teams and still do. Therefore, I can't stand LeBron. That said, if he comes to a Zips game I'll give him nothing but respect.
  11. Miss State lost once again tonight against LSU. Our premier win isn't looking as premier right now. Also, CSU lost. Neither is good for our RPI right now.
  12. They said it takes into account whether the opponent is missing key players. I'm fairly sure that ORU beat Xavier after the Xavier-Cinci fight and had some players suspended. This is why ORU gets docked major points in the BPI.
  13. The ZI-PS chant isn't something that can be used very often each game. Is "Defense" or "Let's go Zips!" to difficult? Picking up the chants will come with time. They really are much easier than our soccer chants.
  14. Amen to that. Oh well, Tribe and Cavs till I die. Never much of a Browns or NFL fan, which is probably why I hate Cleveland sports talk so much. Browns 24/7 on there.
  15. I have no love for CSU, but Kyley and Booms are both hacks. What a joke of a station. I was hoping for something fresh when they came in, but we just get the same old tired mix of non-stop Browns and Suckeyes. It's really frustrating.
  16. There's two sides to the floor seating. If you think one side feels like a clique, switch to the other side. The reason they need to hand out wristbands instead of checking IDs is there is limited seating available down there. Having wristbands is an easy way to cap the attendance down there. I just don't get it. People complain that the ROWDIES don't let just anyone down there. Now that they do let any student down there, they complain that you have to have a wristband to get down there. What more do you want? Yeah, the student section design sucks, but that's not the ROWDIES fault!
  17. Pretty much sums up the disparity between the East and the West. You would think that whoever is doing these rankings would know enough about Akron to realize that Walsh is a starter on this team and has been for quite some time.
  18. I'm a member of the ROWDIES and I'm never "offered" a wrist band. I just have to ask for one from the students handing them out. Also, can regular tickets enter the student entrance? I feel like I've noticed that happening this year. I want to take my 7 year old brother to a game, but don't know how to handle the idea that we have entrances on opposite sides of the arena. Obviously, I don't feel confortable leaving him on his own at the main entrance.
  19. This is too funny. I literally laughed out loud while reading this.
  20. So frustrating. The NFL has too much power. Everyone knows why they're doing this.
  21. I think the key point here, is there isn't anyone on board from last year. We had Bunbury and Zakuani playing together, and then Bunbury and Nagbe, and then Nagbe and Zakuani. Last year it was Zakuani and... That's the point, the reigning heir isn't in place as in years past. I don't take this as a sign that Koroma isn't coming.
  22. Not entirely sure what you have in mind, but the team comes over to the ROWDIES after the game and goes through a "high five" line. I think it would be even cooler if they stayed out there and sang the alma mater with us. The soccer team engaging in the "I Believe" chant is the absolute coolest. Porter is the best coach on campus for making the fans and specifically the ROWDIES a part of the team. From the pre game march, to buying us pizza and sending us pre-match emails urging us to show up. I wish all the UA coaches would have the same initiative. The basketball team does a decent job, but they could be better.
  23. @AkronzipsMbb tweeted the lineup is the same as always. AA, Gilliam, Walsh, Nik and Zeke.
  24. I agree with RowdyZip, if you don't like it, don't follow them. I've followed most of the team from time to time and subsequently unfollowed many of them. I personally don't care too much about their personal lives, but many of them tweet mainly about their personal lives. That's fine with me, I just unfollow them. Guys like Walsh on the other hand tweet a lot about team life, which is why I enjoy following them.
