  1. 1st and 2nd down playcalls just told me Milwee conceded the loss.
  2. What would really help this board is if we had some objectivity. I'm certainly not trashing LZip, but some posters have all the objectivity of North Korean media.
  3. This is me if the Zips win.
  4. If all these guys stick, it's the best class by far. By far.
  5. Making fun of Kent is always a gas But Zips fans live in a house of glass
  6. I guess there is a big disconnect for me somewhere. If the team has that high of a OFI factor and you and others are that bullish on the Zips, I sure want to see more than 7 wins. Perhaps I am unrealistic.
  7. I'm not trying to be an asshole here. I am a Zips fan starved for information. I totally appreciate a coach saying "special", "stood out", "leadership", "best", "great" and all that. It doesn't tell me anything, though. They said those same things about a 1-11 squad. What pains me is that a guy who gets paid to write down words for a living made the most positive statement I have ever seen penned about the Zips with absolutely zero justification to support the statement. I want to believe that the Zips are "oozing". Tell me why I should believe that. The known quantities don't convince me. Tell me who made incredible gains over the off-season. We heard from the basketball golf outing that Daniel Utomi lost 56 pounds and increased his vertical by 3 feet. Gimme some of that about the football team.
  8. If a team is "oozing with size, speed and athleticism", that says to me "stacked roster". We understand Warren Ball is on the team. We heard that Ulysees Gilbert is preseason MAC DPOY. Who else is exhibiting this "size, speed and athleticism"? If traits are "oozing" from this squad it is from an overabundance of these traits on the team and I don't think any of us saw an overabundance of it last year. Either there are untold stories or it was a bull$hit statement.
  9. 2017 Zips. . .a team oozing with size, speed and athleticism on both sides of the football. It would have been nice to hear the stories behind the reasons the author came to this conclusion. Don't cha think???
  10. I don't think soliciting for walk-ons is unprecedented.
  11. Man, I love college football.
  12. Central survives in 3OT. Mediocrity restored.
  13. Central in OT game versus Rhode Island. That doesn't even warm up to mediocre.
  14. Score update: UConn 7 Holy Cross 20
  15. What's wrong with the WV Turnpike?
  16. And guaranteed to be more fun than Penn State!
  17. Note to Nit fan. . . Is not Glad I could entertain Central Pennsylvania, though.
  18. I agree with you about the proliferation of bowl games. Any team with a pulse gets to go now where in the past some really good teams missed out. I guess the cool thing is that more teams get to advertise they went bowling but I think the teams that didn't should still get a trophy for outstanding participation.
  19. Your confidence hinges on unknown quantities. Although I think PSU will be the real deal in '17, preseason rankings have been notoriously worthless over the years and many ballyhooed teams have fallen to mediocrity. How many times in watching college football have you gotten fooled over an early season upset by team A over team B only to find out team B was an overrated mess? As far as evaluating the Zips, they are a total mystery to me. I personally think that if Woodson returns to 2015 form, the Zips may have a puncher's chance in the East. If not, I fear the prospect of a successful season collapses faster than a Big Lots tent in a C5 hurricane. Too many question marks with too little information coming from camp makes it hard for me to get a read on this year's Zips. It is a "suck it & see" situation for me.
