Tight Ends are a great weapon in the NFL. Not nearly as much in the MAC.

Actually, I think there are 129 FBS teams. Who has a chance to win it all? 1. Clemson 2. Florida State 3. Alabama 4. Auburn 5. Ohio State 6. Michigan 7. Penn State 8. Oklahoma 9. Oklahoma State 10. USC 11. Washington That's my list. If anyone thinks I'm wrong, I will give you the other 118 teams in a bet. 8.5% of FBS has a shot at winning it. (Probably less) That isn't a very level playing field.

How many college teams have a shot at winning the title in 2017?

Who is going to the Penn State game - where will you be?

Hopping is probably what kangaroos do best. -
Convert this kid to a position where his talent can make an impact.

He musta been throwing some serious rope.

Ric never got the credit he deserved for building the Natatorium.

My Facebook feed was blowing up this morning with pics of friends at the first Browns preseason game. So many people just absolutely giddy about being able to watch another season of bad football! On the other hand, who's excited about Zips football? Me and 9099 other people. (Or less) It's so hard for me to understand.

A person playing the most important position has never been converted into the second most important position as far as I know.

What do you think would have happened if J.A.R. hadn't sent in the National Guard to protect State property? (Not just at Kent)

Jim Rhodes did nothing wrong.

The old Varsity A logo is still the best.

If you don't want to listen, put your phone on moot.

I just started this thread to be a smartass not to start a debate over the square root of fuckall. ???

I see what you're saying. We are just coming from different angles. My angle is the middle-aged approaching old man curmudgeon angle. I know I am critical of the staff but when you have turned a 4-2 start into a 5-7 finish twice, I think you have earned some criticism. I know, I know. I left out the most important ingredient for any Zips fan: Excuses. I don't put any stock in excuses. I'm an odd-ball these days, I realize. Actually, I would love nothing more than the staff coming out and proving ol' K92 wrong. Dead wrong. When that happens, I won't shrink and disappear. I will eat crow and bask in the success of the football Zips. I just wish that the eternal optimists and apologists for this staff would finally accept reality for what it is and has been and stop making excuses for everything. But whatever. It takes all kinds to make the world go round or at least that's what I heard. We all want the same thing. We want our University and its sports teams to succeed to the highest degree. I certainly don't bitch, pee-and-moan and complain because I enjoy watching the Zips lose. Only a few more weeks until we see what we've got when the team takes the field. I am hoping for a pleasant surprise. If I am disappointed, I'm probably going to bitch, pee-and -moan and complain some more. It's what I do. Go Zips.

All I know is this. . . We have a very athletic player who is now a Senior who has not contributed a whole lot. Seems like an incredible waste of talent. How many times have you heard a coach say about a talented player "we gotta find a way to get him on the field"? We didn't find a way. Better late than never, I guess.

Maybe this QB should have been made a WR earlier and maybe the WR who came in as an emergency QB last year should have stayed a QB. Nah.
-
Wow. How does that even happen?
-
Hey, maybe they are putting in Read One & Run 1.1 and don't want Penn State to know.

You gotta be kidding me.

If they do, I hope they have that same awful 90 second intro before the 30 seconds of interview.

I was lucky enough to go to the Gold Jacket Dinner Friday evening. Thanks to MDZip for arranging the whole thing. It was great to see him and to meet his parents. Also nice to meet Zippyfan34, Zips Voice and his son. ZipsWin! and I had a couple of beers at Canton Brewing before the event. If you are in the area, you might want to check it out. Very cool place, especially the basement Speakeasy. When we arrived at the Canton Civic Center, it was patently obvious that this was no low key shindig. This was a gala. The cocktail hour was quite a scene with 4000 people mingling. We sat down and had a nice dinner. There were a few announcements over the P.A. but mostly just dining. At the end of our meal, the inductees came through our area on their way to the arena. As Jason rounded the corner, we started our "Let's Go Zips" chant, which he seemed to get a kick out of. He seemed to glad to see me! We went into the arena and watched the same show you were all able to see on the NFL Network. I must say, the HOF Alumni that streamed in was rather overwhelming. What a large group of talent in one place. It's too bad more of them couldn't have made it. It was a great once in a lifetime experience for me. So glad I went. Once again, thanks to MDZip.
