Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think Joe Akron would react to a 13-0 season with a collective yawn. As long as the Buckeyes are riding high, no one in NE Ohio is going to spend one minute or one dime on the Zips. Now, if the Buckeyes fell off the radar and lost to Michigan 10 years in a row at the same time Akron put together a 13 win season, then maybe around 9100 Joes might take note.

I agree. The whole season depends on the offense in my opinion. I think it's a fair opinion that the defense could improve quite a bit over last year and still blow. Yes, they were that bad. Woodson and Ball need to be healthy and the OL and WR units need to come up large. Milwee calling a good game is also necessary for the offense to be worth a tinker's damn. If the Zips can't prolifically score points, we are in for a long year. If they can, we probably go to a bowl.

See how everything works out to the good. It actually turned out to be a blessing that the Zips play Kent on a Tuesday night earlier that week. If the Wagon Wheel game was held on it's rightful date, it would have created a conflict for those of us who wished to attend both contests. Yay MACtion!
