  1. Kato looks pretty uncomfortable in the pocket. Line looks so-so. Pocket awareness could use some improvement.
  2. there we go bubba. finally somebody made a play.
  3. This D is swiss friggin cheese. Illinois could run the ball every single play and we couldn't stop them. Put another guy in the box and let the Mich washout beat us.
  4. How did we go backwards on 3 straight plays...at least we got 3. Nice drive overall for the O. Need the D to get it together.
  5. True Freshman Tyson McDonald is as well..
  6. Randy Cochran Jr. started at CB. True Freshman.
  7. All they said on 1350 was they didn't make the trip. No word on reason why. Why can't we have nice things?!
  8. Alvin Davis, Trevor Brown, and Devonte Jest not playing..........yikes...

  15. Game week! Anxiously awaiting the depth chart....wonder what surprises there will be.
  16. ahem...i think you mean "Mr. Big Chest"
  17. hopefully a greyshirt. He was always my favorite of this class and his only other reported offer was Marshall. Maybe academics was the reason.
  18. 1) I have to go Hayes-Patrick. Sands has been injury prone throughout his career, everyone else is pretty unproven, and Reese is apparently no longer on the team. I'd be pretty surprised if he doesn't end up getting opportunity this season for one reason or another, though that would probably be a good thing (other backs healthy/doing well). My second choice is one of the freshman DBs. If I have to pick a name, i'll say Adetutu. Just a real lack of depth/unproven players there, especially at CB. 2) Demetrick Watts. Dude was a baller in D2, which isn't saying much, but I think he is more proven than any of our other newcomers. I recall a story about how our coaches thought he was too small for an offer, then they saw him in person and offered on the spot. I've also heard his name mentioned in some clips..so he seems to be doing well. Hicks is my second choice, especially with Jonah Morris out. 3) I'm tempted to go Justin Sampson, as he's a great athlete who I think can thrive in more of an explicit pass-rushing type position on the edge..but I haven't heard much about him so far. However, considering our head coach, the importance of the position, and the positive attitude I've seen from him so far...I think I am going to go Kato.
  19. This is a contract year for Jatavis. Looks like he's also supposed to make 3x plus the amount he's made in any previous year this season. Big year and offseason for him. Hopefully he can stay healthy and show out.
  20. PFF has Kato in at least the top 70. Plenty of opponents in 71-130. https://www.pff.com/news/college-pff-rankings-starting-quarterback-rankings-for-2019

  22. UGIII looked really good last night. He got in on D about mid 3rd quarter until the end of the game. INT at the goal line on a 2pt conversion, strip sack, and another sack. Another QB pressure/hit as well. I must've missed the 2nd sack. Not a single "negative" play (missed tackle, beat in coverage, etc). Pretty pumped for him.. I also didn't see MAC DPOY Sutton Smith on the field at all.
  23. Good for him. If Groce can't get it together, he'll have a few years of experience and could be a serious candidate. Smart hire by their new HC.
  24. I didn't go one by one down the list, but I believe all of our signees actually made it to campus. How refreshing! For sake of discussion: 1) What freshman will be the biggest contributor this year? Hayes-Patrick seems like an easy choice, but some of the DBs are starting off strong as well, like Cochran and McDonald and I believe there is some opportunity there. 2) What new member of the team will be the biggest contributor (including fresh, JUCO, transfer, etc)? 3) Returning player who takes the biggest step forward on offense and defense under the new coaching staff?
