  1. What makes this guy a key transfer anymore than say a Riak or LCJ?
  2. That is way more violent than the typical dust up teammates might have. Good riddance indeed.
  3. What is so bad about playing a FCS opponent away (and saving money) rather than hosting and likely losing money?
  4. Another opportunity. Rod Carey reportedly leaving NIU for Temple.
  5. They are working to make other arrangements (game in Chattanooga) in order to avoid paying that buyout. Just because being hired before early signing day didn't result in any early signing day commits, that doesn't mean it was a waste. Additional time to build relationships with recruits who might sign in Feb, get staff in place, and build relationship with the current players is very valuable. Waiting until 1/1, while maybe financially savvy, would have likely been a bad move in a number of ways (perception and recruiting).
  6. Riak is the 5 who gets the most playing time and has 10 blocks throughout the season. I'm not even sure I'd call it a strength, though you think it would be with his size and length.
  7. It's okay to be disappointed that Otis wasn't retained (which I definitely am) AND be able to acknowledge the staff has NEO connections AND acknowledge the staff likely isn't complete (as there are some coaching spots not named yet). Feeney and Williams are great tag alongs from the UT-C staff. Cochran was at Kent State last year. Zagorski and Rodriguiz were not on UT-C's staff, though they both were likely going to be if Arth stayed there.
  8. Buffalo strength & conditioning coach.
  9. There's really not much doubt in my mind that K-Lac is our best offensive weapon at the 5, not that that is really saying a lot. He's shown to have solid post game and touch around the basket last year and in his limited time this year. He seemed to have very low bball IQ last year, but I think its *looked* improved in the very limited time I've seen him play. It doesn't hurt to give him a chance.
  10. Looks like a FB from Ashland? edit: looks like he only played in 1 game in each of the past 2 seasons and has accumulated zero stats. I think its safe to say he will be a walk on.
  11. I would easily take the field to win 1 game this season vs Buffalo.
  12. Edit - ewbrooman beat me to it
  13. We have our first commit (and signee?) of the Arth era. JUCO OLB/DE. HS recruiting profile, where he had a pretty nice offer list: https://247sports.com/Player/Michael-Scott-83307/high-school-144272/ https://www.hudl.com/video/3/2702051/5b8c74c30dcafd0bd4acd999
  14. What an ugly game. Some great play and senior leadership by Ivey down the stretch saved this one. Need better play from everyone else across the board. We won that game shooting 28% from the field and 19% from 3. Wow. On to the next!
  15. 21% shooting from the field. 15% from 3.
  16. We are lucky WMU sucks or this one might be out of hand at the half instead of being down 1. Tough to shoot any worse then we did that first half...
  17. THATS A CHARGE OR NO CALL
  18. I also prefer Roscoe over Banks and Cheese.
  19. Groce needs to call a timeout and get on them. We are playing like $hit
  20. WMU getting all the 50/50 calls so far.
  21. Tried to find the post, but I can't seem to do it. I definitely didn't dream it up, though it may not be set in stone if the post was edited/removed.
  22. 3 missed wide open layups by our bigs! Throw it down!!
  23. Didn't someone on here say Toles is taking a medical redshirt?
  24. Let's start of conference play with a win and set the tone for the rest of the season. Go Zips!
