  1. Guys, we will be playing on Championship Saturday on ESPN. There is almost no competition that day. We will be on at every establishment that has more than 1 tv.
  2. Can't believe this one isn't started yet! If Toledo beats WMU, we get a rematch with them. If WMU knocks them off and NIU beats CMU, then that is who we get. I would think we match up better with NIU, but I wouldn't mind a chance to get avenge the beat down we were given by Toledo. Looks like we will get an extra 3 days rest than our opponent regardless of who we face. Ticket options for the game that the U seems to be offering: See you in Detroit!
  3. ..And its official. Bye bye Haynes! http://footballscoop.com/The-Scoop/
  4. Also, PJ needs a miracle win vs Wisconsin this week to get his Golden Gophers bowl eligible. Reminder: They won 10 games last season.
  5. May be a good time to bump this. WMU would need to beat Toledo in order to tie us at 7-5. I'm rooting for Broncos for the record, and I'll pay up $30 if they get it done and tie us. Go Zips!
  6. First off...We goin to the 'ship!! Always good to beat Can't. My thoughts regarding the game: Going with Kato was the right move, but anyone who questioned why the staff went with TW all year should have gotten their answer last night, as its clear that Kato has the potential to be better than Woody ever was, but is nowhere near as consistent. I would give Kato the start in the championship game since he got us there and then make a decision based on how he performs there as to who starts the bowl game. Some drops of course didn't help things, but that was not a very good game at all outside of the first drive. He looked worse than he did vs Miami. Gasser did a great job kicking the ball last night, but he needs to get the ball off quicker. Second blocked punts in as many weeks, and something like that could easily cost us the game vs Toledo/NIU. Defense played great, IMO. Ulysses may have played the best game I've ever seen a Zip play on D. He looked like the preseason MAC DPOY that he was predicted to be. I also don't know if Kent State's O-line is that bad, but our D-line/Front 7 seemed to get much more pressure than we have all season. Really their only offense was that freshman QB scrambling around. Kwad needs to at least not get shoved out of bounds running his routes. I counted 3 times. Horrible call by Haynes to end the half. I wonder who we will be facing next season? It's 7:56 and......Kent State still sucks!!....and.....we goin' to the 'ship!! See you all in Detroit!
  7. Yep Florida is ideal. Detroit would be second on my list.
  8. Ehhh.....2 personal fouls get you kicked out and 1 targeting penalty gets you kicked out IIRC.
  9. #GonzagaOfTheEast #FloridaStateOfTheNorth
  10. So....is that a hint he is starting?!
  11. Gameday.......lets ride the momentum to Detroit. GO ZIPS!
  12. I mean is it a minor inconvenience? I guess... WGAF.
  13. I just got a phone call, from President Wilson, telling me to come out to the game tomorrow. Anybody else?
  14. I watched some of the Ohio/Dayton game a few days ago. Probably looking at our first loss here, but maybe its something we can pull off. Giannis' (not even going to try to spell the name) little brother plays for them and he seems like a pretty talented player. They say he is the best shooter out of all of them (4 brothers), but he seemed to play close to the basket mostly from what I saw. Huge and athletic frame, just like his brother.
  15. I'll be getting my shots in all season long. Don't get so worked up about it, Akron isn't good enough for the "Akron man".
  16. Utomi has 1st team All MAC and potentially MAC POY written all over him.
  17. Utomi and Duvivier are just balling.
  18. are you at the arena?
  19. Seemed like a fiery speech at the basketball game. I'd have liked to hear that.
  20. Reghi has called UT-Martin 3-0 multiple times already. They are 1-2....
  21. Stewart and MTB definitely fit that mold. Hooks is listed at 6'2" on 247.
  22. Our manican was #1...is that a hint at who we should expect to see?
  23. Feel bad for Barberton. Just no match for Hoban, who seemed to have college size and athleticism at every position. That #20 for Hoban, Trayanum, was a beast and only a sophomore. Looks like he's already getting looks from atleast Michigan. I flipped over and watched the 4th of the Mentor/Iggy game. Really like Mentor's QB. Good leadership, high football IQ, great size, and can run the ball. Led two nice drives for a 4th quarter comeback win.
