I've seen T's called on lesser dunks

Utomi's 3 ball doesn't seem too far off...........they just aren't falling though.
-
Hell of a game by Ivey.
-
Mark.....that was not a smart foul.
-
Utomi needs to keep going up strong when he has it down low. Need a 3rd scoring threat to win this.

Who is anderson?
-
I didn't include him because I am already counting him as a scholly player (as well as the other new signees). He signed again back in December.

more offensive woes
-
Hopefully we can finish this game with 5 players on the floor. A LOT of fouls.

How on earth did this team beat Notre Dame.
-
Nice pass Marky Mark!
-
I caught that too. Zips getting some looks but struggling to score at the start here.

National Signing Day coming up February 7th. Seems very quiet right now, but the scholly chart estimates 10 scholarships open. For purposes of this discussion, lets assume a walk-on or two impressed enough to earn a scholly or this is a transfer we don't know about. That would bring the figure down to 8. Since early signing day we have added OL Bryce Peterson as a JUCO commit, who I am anticipating will sign. That takes the number down to 7. We have Tim Scippio, Te'Corey Tutson, Ramon Fields, Ronald Beasley, and Treon Sibley who we have down as commits, but didn't sign during the early signing day. I would think there is a reason these guys didn't sign - either grades, or considering somewhere else for whatever reason. My guess is that Ramon Fields (has not other reported offers and figure we would have signed with his teammates) and Ronald Beasley (really early commit last year who we haven't heard anything else about) are for sure out. Lets say 2 of those 5 end up signing. We have non-qualifiers from last year in Marquise Bridges, Tracy Jordan, Marquess Callaway, and Marcus Kidd. I'm assuming Kidd is out due to his arrest. I would think at most we get 2 of these. Lets also assume there are 1 or 2 players we don't know about that won't be with the team next year for whatever reason as some attrition is natural. With that, I think we are really only looking at 4-5 available scholarships. On national signing day last year, we pulled in 3 of our best commits in Matthew Hansen, Zaire Jacobs, and Jeffrey Lubin. We also signed 2 true freshman contributors in Meeks and Williams after NSD. In short, I would expect a boring NSD with the potential to land 1 or 2 decent guys at the last minute, 1 or 2 decent guys post-NSD, and finally have 1 or 2 scholly's saved for transfers. I've been keeping an eye out on 247's Crystal ball and there is nothing there for us yet.

Does anyone know whats going on with Eubanks? I know he had the eye issue earlier in the season and came back and got a few minutes at least one game, but I don't think he's been in since, nor have I noticed him on the bench. I never had high expectations, but you would think he would be getting some minutes with our lack of depth (if he is healthy and with the team).

Duquesne Basketball Coach Keith Dambrot
LZIp replied to Valpo Zip's topic in Off Topic, Smack & Jokes
^^Yawn. I took a peak over there a while back and fans were already growing restless a few games into his tenure after losses to inter-city rivals Robert Morris and Pitt. Get some context Elton, of course Duquesne fans are going to love this compared to what they've dealt with the past 30 years. Being overanalyzed for faults in victory is a sign of a good program. It's natural to want more, especially when those victories weren't leading to anything meaningful in the post season. If you can't handle it, go to a shitty program with no expectations like KD did. I can't remember anyone calling for his head. Shame on us for hoping to raise expectations to something other than a 21+ win season over cupcakes, disappointing MAC-C loss, and inevitable first round NIT/CBI/CIT exit. I guess he's never watched a Buckeye game? People get disappointed if they don't win half of their games by 40+ points. The Steelers just let go of their OC after getting the #2 seed in the conference. Bo Pelini got fired from Nebraska for winning 9 games every year. What was Mike Brown's winning % (the first time he was fired) or David Blatt's when he was let go? I can go on and on. -
nailed it. Don't know why I was thinking a former player. Probably because I assumed they were a firefighter now....

Looks familiar, but I'm stumped. Did they used to have dreads?

uh oh...

Sorry balsy, but you are the type of guy that will argue the sky isn't blue. It doesn't hurt anything. M-W classes will simply be 25-30 mins longer and the students will get an extra full day off to do whatever they deem the best use of their time as a result.

One of my favorite things to do is read bobcatattack after kicking OWho's a$$! Nice win and great team effort all around, Zips. Everybody contributed. This is now at least the 2nd time Lucas Smith has been in to close out a close game. He'll most likely never be more than what he is now (smart player, good defender, hustler, etc), but it is an awesome story in my book.

IlliniZip made me pull up the B1G standings. Illinois is 10-10 and 0-7 in what seems to be a pretty down year for the conference.
-
Pure speculation....but he doesn't have any other reported offers, so if he doesn't sign you'd have to assume it is due to grades.
-
Prob not much of a stretch to assume a NFL special teams coordinator > special teams coordinator at a middling G5 program.
