  1. Exhilarating. Houston doesn't do much for me, but at least we may be able to win. Overall I think an easy quadrant.
  2. Don't think it technically belongs here, but ASN is closing its doors at the end of the month. http://awfulannouncing.com/local-networks/american-sports-network-reportedly-cease-operation-end-month.html
  3. Find it hard to believe we wouldn't have drawn ND or WVU in Buffalo, so getting that win would have had to wait for another time most likely. Still would have been fun to watch.
  4. That would appear to be correct per Verbal Commits. Do not see an Akron offer yet. http://verbalcommits.com/players/pete-nance
  5. Thanks for the clarification. I am not pretending to know, just going off of what others have said, including the article below by EA, http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/index.ssf/2017/01/missouri_transfer_willie_jacks.html
  6. Josh didn't do much during the Ball State game, but he had a nice game vs EMU and then again last night he was the 3rd best player IMO. Glad to see him finish somewhat strong and hope he takes it into next season. We need him.
  7. Well after sleeping on it, I am still not excited. However, there is still a chance this season that the program can make a nice run in a postseason tournament which could be a positive to take away from this season as it hasn't happened in many years.
  8. Pretty much agree with this spot on. I like Dambrot and all that he brings, but I want more and I believe he does as well and at some point some changes need to be made. Back when Dambrot was first turning the program around, we lost Boals and Shaka to better opportunities.I may even be missing someone. That is a sign of having good assistants. When is the last time that has happened? I sense complacency with them. I liked playing Creighton and Gonzaga this year, but outside of that the OOC was incredibly weak. That should be looked at. As I said in the Kent thread. Give me Kent's lackluster regular season every year if it comes with playing better teams and making it to the dance. Maybe a philosophy change needs made. Some have said we missed out on Willie Jackson for the second time because he wants to be a focal point and Dambrot likes a balanced team. Nothing about this team was balanced this season. Big Dog was the focal point. Adjust your philosophy to bring in better talent. I'm also disappointed on losing Graves to Buffalo. Jimmys and Joes are worth more than X's and O's.
  9. Not trying to be confrontational, but I am having trouble seeing any real benefit. I don't see how the team will be motivated for one. I don't see Dambrot not playing the seniors to try to get the young guys more experience, and lastly I do not see an extra week of practice making any real difference. I believe we've turned down lesser tournaments before.
  10. I give serious props to Kent. Hall got his and Walker came to play. Some irony on this board for crapping on Senderoff for not meeting expectations. I would take their regular season any year if it meant a trip to the dance. Have my share of gripes with the coaching staff and certain players, but I just don;t have the energy to dwell on it. I'll miss Big Dog, even though I wish he could shoot his FT's better. Surely I'm not the only one who remembers all of the person attacks on him regarding effort/commitment/weight earlier in his career. Looking forward to another 1st round postseason loss to a shitty P5 team. At least "Joe Akron" showed up. Seemed to be close to a 3-1 advantage for Akron. I brought a few of his relatives. Its too bad the Zips didn't though. And people wonder why attendance is what it is.
  11. Damn. Maybe the highest ranked/best offer list HS recruit Bowden has pulled in so far? Lets hope we can keep him!
  12. Seemed like their guard play hitting the 3 at the JAR is what elevated them over us there. I have to think with heavy minutes played (assuming what is mentioned above is correct), there will be some tired legs, thus making that less of a threat tonight. Key in on Hall. I hope Kwan can deliver when it matters most. No more foul trouble.
  13. So I am assuming the best/cheapest way to acquire tickets today is to do the buy 1 get 1 lottery promo?
  14. Thompson is a punk as I've said all year. Got to keep our composure.
  15. Thompson is outworking our whole damn team.
  16. I could answer your question, but I don't know who OSWho is.
  17. Congrats to both! Happily wrong regarding Big Dog winning.
  18. What a crappy EMU/NIU game. EMU pooped themselves by missing 4 straight FTs only to have NIU choke away both of their FTs to tie the game. Very proud of EMU's 3 fans for getting into it there at the end.
  19. I don't think I would sleep on EMU. Before conference play started, myself, and I believe others thought of them as a top 3 MAC team. Thompson, while a punk, is quite talented. Ray (formerly known as Raven) Lee is the real wildcard. He has accumulated a whole 5 points and a DNP in our meetings this season. I don't know what is going on at the program, but I do know he has been a damn good player most of his career. In fact, he is averaging a whopping 26.8 ppg over the past 5 games (including one 50 pointer).
  20. Is Michigan State even going to make the tourney?
  21. Some random guy on the internet doesn't really mean anything to me, but I wouldn't say Jerome did bad at all. #9 in the SPARQ rankings. I would say his "measurables" were pretty good. I mean Jarvis Landry ran a 4.77 and he is having a hell of a career. https://3sigmaathlete.com/rankings/
  22. That is too bad to hear. I was recently wondering where he has been on here. RIP
