  1. Holding out blind hope that the Zips win.
  2. IS that when games will start to be broadcasted on ESPN3?
  3. Do not know if anyone followed the SDSU/Wyoming game, but outside of Boise losing, about the best thing that could have happened for WMU just happened. Wyoming winning this game against 9-1 SDSU substantially increases their chances of winning their Mountain West divison that Boise is in. It also stops SDSU from most likely being ranked if they were to play Boise St in the championship game where the winner could have got the auto bid. The potential game winning hail mary for SDSU was called incomplete, luckily. Pretty controversial as I believe we caught it but inconclusive evidence.
  4. Someone tell Mr. Clark it isn't too late to flip his commitment to Akron
  5. He is impressive. He needs an offer.
  6. Interest shown to Jabari Taylor, DT, out of Hoban. I think I like his tape. Kent and Akron have shown interest. http://www.cleveland.com/hssports/blog/index.ssf/2016/11/meet_a_breakout_player_from_ea.html#7 http://www.hudl.com/profile/4082870/jabari-taylor
  7. Apparently have talked withOmar Fattah, LB from St Eds. http://www.hudl.com/profile/5319120/omar-fattah http://www.cleveland.com/hssports/blog/index.ssf/2016/11/meet_a_breakout_player_from_ea.html#1 Lucas D'Orazio, who I am assuming is Zach's little brother seems to be doing good at Cuyahoga Heights. Maybe a late bloomer. I think I'd give a preferred walk on if his junior tape looks better. His sophomore tape doesnt look like a D1 athlete IMO. http://www.cleveland.com/hssports/blog/index.ssf/2016/11/meet_a_breakout_player_from_ea.html#12 http://www.hudl.com/profile/7325863/lucas-dorazio
  8. Akron and the rest of the MAC can think of about a million reasons each why its a good reason for WMU to get there. I've posted breakdowns earlier in this thread. I care a lot more about money than some meaningless perception that doesn't affect my team.
  9. This drubbing Houston is giving Louisville could throw a wrench into things. However, regardless of rankings, they would need Navy to slip up as they are currently ahead of them in AAC standings. Confirmed from my above post that you must win your conference championship for a G5 to be selected to a New Year's day bowl. http://www.collegefootballplayoff.com/overview
  10. I hope they aren't counting on a D2 transfer who completed less than 50% of his passes. My guess is he's the next Matthew Hoyer.
  11. meant to post this one instead of Rourke's. Serious issues on my work computer right now on this site for whatever reason.
  12. Found a few more offers...Apologies If these have been previously posted.
  13. So it appears Malik Woodridge is the only local recruit who didn't receive any post season accolades?
  14. Is CMU significantly stronger than Akron? They lost to Kent and Miami the 2 weeks prior to last nights game. I'd say the chances aren't great, but there is still a reasonable chance we can beat them. As I said above, it depends on who is healthy and which team shows up though. Play like we did the past month and we will get embarrassed. But when we were 5-3 I don't think many thought OU was head and shoulders better than us.
  15. As down as we are with the season, this game just goes to show that we can absolutely win next week if the right team shows up and the right players are healthy. A bunch of ifs there, I know. We still have a chance to be bowl eligible and that isn't something we should take for granted. OU's win over Toledo was impressive, but they are far from world beaters.
  16. Believe it or not, 1 loss Boise St has jumped WMU in this week's CFP rankings. Boise St's win over Wazzu is looking better by the week. If you're rooting for WMU (and the MAC), root for Wyoming unless they lose. They have two tough remaining conference games against SDSU and UNM to close out the season. If they slip up, you'll want to pull for presumably SDSU over Boise St in the MWC Championship game. I haven't personally confirmed this, but I have heard there is a caveat for the highest ranked G5 school. You must win your conference to get the New Year's day bowl bid and that is impossible for Boise if Wyoming wins out due to them owning the tiebreaker. Someone feel free to fact check the above
  17. IIRC, Goodman is actually one of the lasts Ianello recruits and has played WR his whole career at UA. Per Gozips - As a Freshman (2012): Member of the Zips' 2011 signing class, but did not enroll at UA until January 2012 ... participated in spring practice ... played in nine games ... made 14 catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns ... one of seven receivers to have multiple TD receptions ... one scoring catch came in a win over Morgan State and versus Bowling Green ... had a season-best showing of three catches for 32 yards at FIU. Take a look at last year's OU and Pitt games to see the tailored offense around Chapman. It was some power running joke. Chapman had 14 carries and went 0/8 passing in the 1st half before being replaced by Pohl. Against Pitt, Chapman went 4-14 passing and had 10 rushes for -22 yards. That is not a typo. The only way to tailor an offense around him is to completely change the offense, which IMO, would be gross negligence based on past results and the current makeup of the team. We do not have the horses to be a predominately running team and have exceptional talent that should be utilized at WR. Chapman has showed he can be a capable backup, but obviously hasn't lived up to his high recruiting ranking.
  18. That is...unless you're the Browns
  19. A blow out loss to Buffalo and a multi score loss at home to BG. We are certainly playing like the worst team in the MAC and its not even close.
  20. It would be very tough to find one. Really wouldn't mind seeing the ABJ get rid of him.
  21. I think it is good for the MAC based on the fact that Gameday is coming to a MAC school, but its much better in general for PJ Fleck and WMU. Would be better if it were WMU/Toledo. The fact that they are coming for Buffalo is just weird, but I'm not going to complain about it. I think I saw this is the first time Gameday has been at a MAC school since BG in 03(?).
  22. Maybe I'm being weirdly sensitive today, but does anyone else find this kind of classless?
  23. College Gameday is going to WMU for the big match up with 2-8 Buffalo. This is not a joke.
