I haven't followed the zips for more than a few years, but I can't recall any coverage being near this in-depth for us. I am assuming this article alone came from questions brought up by ZN, therefore basically wrote specifically for us. Why complain ?

Only teams I could really see it be a problem with is NIU or Temple, and luckily Temple is in the big east now

I don't see being realistic as bad mouthing. It's not like we are just pulling these assumptions out of our asses. GT and NZF are well connected to the program. I'm 99% positive that they are saying these things because that's what the coaches are telling them. How that is bad mouthing this coaching staff is beyond me.

What does that mean? Lol. Anyways...ended up going to Legends in Green. Barley House usually shows it but had a band last night. No place in highland square shows it.

Kind of makes you wonder why we used scholarships on players that aren't big/fast/good enough to play at the D1 level

Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't aware he was enrolled 2 years at butler cc. Off topic, but on the case of Weeden, I assume he wasnt playing baseball for free, so wouldn't that have made him ineligible to play NCAA football? Or does that rule only apply to the same sport. I ask this because recently there has been the high school golfer, who couldn't accept monetary prizes so that he could keep his eligibility, and the Olympic swimmer in high school who couldn't accept money for the same reason

That is my thinking as well. It seemed like we signed a ton of LBs this year. Unless there is a huge drop off in talent between our starters and second stringers

Does anybody know of a place near campus/downtown that shows the UFC fights? If none in that area, what is the closest place?

My guess is that it may not be completely worked out. Maybe they just went through the bare minimum paper work to get him eligible and on the field..maybe I'm wrong though.

Thanks for the article. Looking like Pratt is going to make an immediate impact. George- what unit would you consider to be the weakest on the team(oline, QBs, lbs, etc)? From your articles, I'm going to guess QBs due to their inconsistency

Ill go on record to say Commack will be the best player on defense for the Zips his year. If Turner still possesses the potential he had in high school, look out for him too

The thing is nobody really knows. I believe there are parts of the stories that nobody will ever know. I just hope if he was into some bad stuff, or involved with some bad people, he has moved on from that and makes the most out of what I consider a second chance to make something of himself on the football field

If what is rumored to be true (him failing his 3rd drug test), he will not be allowed to transfer and play at another school who is a member of the NCAA. It is probably very well the case, but I think LSU is doing him a favor by being broad and saying he "violated team rules" so that he has a chance to play somewhere else

Good point. No disrespect meant to any player on the current roster(if that's what you were getting at). However, you mention chance, and I'm sure TB is giving everybody on the roster a fair chance and I also believe I have the right to want this team to win as much as possible, with whatever players TB deems fit.

In recent days, Greg Reid(fsu), ray ray Armstrong (Miami), Jajuan story(uf), and Tyron mathieu(LSU) have been kicked off the team. Not sure on all of the rules/situations..but with TBs connections in the south, it would be something to get one of these players!

I have a feeling te vast majority will be content with 4 wins. There are 3 wins on the schedule already, or should be anyways. Hopefully we can also pull another one out with the parity in the MAC
