Good response drive. Once again did not hand the ball off to RBs once. Getting behind the chains in red zone just begs for a turnover. Ok playing it conservative and going into half with lead.

Anytime you can run your injury prone QB in short yardage situation when you have a former 5 star RB and a more than capable power running QB, you gotta do it.

Us being 4th in passing yards on offense is surprising to me considering how bad that’s seemed most of OOC play. Not to mention we are only 14.5/ypg out of first place.

He noted Kindred has been injured (which I wasn't aware of), and that Blanchard could be back this week. Good sign there as he looked to be in pain after getting injured at Indiana. Thought that might have been a season ender.

Woods was already a transfer from EKU. Hence was a rotational guy. Johnson was a captain so that is surprising. Wow. With that said, he wasn't having much impact on the stat sheet this year so guys who will be here next year getting more playing time now is okay with me. Weird era of CFB we're in.

With the game time at noon, maybe we'll draw a better than normal crowd with everyone already downtown for the marathon

There's a big difference in the pay games this year compared to the last few years IMO. I'll take these middling/low tier P5 programs every year as opposed to power houses. We should have had 1 win, and competed well with KY for 3Qs. Shows the players they can compete and hopefully gives them some confidence.

We've made it out of OOC play against an AAC opponent, B1G, and SEC opponent with only one apparent serious injury that I've seen on the field (Blanchard). Seems like relatively, we're as healthy as we could hope and offense seems to be trending in the right direction and defense holding steady. This is a huge game IMO in terms of what we can expect for the remainder of the season. Lets take it one game at a time and kick some Canadian a$$.
