For comparison purposes (and I know @catdaddyp at rivals has been working harder than 247 on Akron), 247 has our high school class ranked at #104 overall and 10th in the MAC. With that said, they don't yet have James, Spriggs, and Dall rated, and only gave Wasel a 80.19 grade. On3 has us ranked #119 (10th in MAC again), but has Wasel rated at 84.97, and I believe that ranking includes transfers. We are likely going to add a decent amount of players still, so that should go up some.

Speaking of Tennessee, I was reading some comments on twitter in regards to Lingard committing. A saw a few people call us a dirty program and it caught me off guard. Turns out it was Tennessee fans who apparently hold some vendetta against us for one of their WRs getting hurt on a low tackle. Give me a break.

To the relief of most and dismay of some, it doesn’t appear DJ is going anywhere. Also, congrats to Coach Fessler!

I could see Myles leaving but not Clayton yet.

I ain’t gonna get too down on the young guys yet, as some take longer to come along then others. LCJ took a big leap in his 3rd year and I believe Big Dog did as well (might’ve even been his 4th year). My complaint is all the transfer who come in that are duds. You expect all these guys to come in right away. Seems about 50% of the transfers don’t work out.

Pretty horrible game for everyone except X and Hunter I guess.

Too many games like this already this season. Our offense stinks. We lost 2 key contributors and Groce came nowhere near replacing them. Things could always change once we get into MAC play, but season so far hasn’t been promising.

Thus far we really miss a guy like Dawson. Not only for his skill, but some energy to give the team a spark.

That makes sense and it may be right. I do know many of our new signees won't start until summer camp, so while signed, they technically shouldn't count against anything for spring ball. In my loose following of Ohio State, I occasionally see posts on twitter pop up about them "getting down" to 85 after a player enters the portal. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that you can have over 85 accounted for at any given point, as long as you get down to the number when required.

Yeah I expect from now until the summer we will add at least a handful of transfer portal players with maybe a couple additional high schools who may have slipped through the cracks. For that to happen though, we'll need more players to transfer out. @catdaddypdo you know when programs are technically required to be down to the 85 limit? Is it by the start of fall camp? If so, that gives us some flexibility.

I watched a little bit before going to bed. That WKU offense operates FAST. Faster than I recall Kent being under Lewis in 2020 and 2021.

Do you think it’s reasonable for him to gain that much weight going into his last year of eligibility ?

So far from our commits we know of, Bowen and Long haven't signed. I don't know if they'll announce the kicker as they usually come in as walk ons I believe.

Nice start for the MAC, as they'd be 3-0 if Miami didn't come up 2 yards short. I predict Ohio and Buffalo lose their bowl games, and BG beats NMSU, leaving us at 3-3 on the season.
