That's as much of an issue as Zeke's lack of fire. Dambrot under utilizes the big guy and his teammates do not do a good job of getting him the ball. That being said, he needs to be a little better at setting up closer to the hoop.

Agreed. Until Dambrot realizes how utterly stupid it is to have Zeke anywhere but firmly planted in the paint, he is going to struggle to get the rebounds and points he should be getting. As far as Tree goes, if i could clone him and play 3 or four of him i'd have myself a national championship contender. Every other player on the team (other than Walsh) should take notes on how to rebound, defend, and go strong to the basket properly. I absolutely love how aggressive and intense he plays.

What a joke. A 5 seed? 4 seeds Marshall and Mississippi State both lost to us and have resume's that don't match up with us. A 4 seed is the lowest I would have accepted without calling BS....so BS.

That's why there were about 200 of them last night...Ohio fans (as well as the rest of the MAC, including Akron) haven't been showing up much at all this week.

The Clevelander was dead when i stopped by around 4 but that was a bit early. Wilbert's was AMAZING. Thanks to everyone that came out, there were probably 40+ Zips fans there by 6:30. Also, I talked to the owner and they will be opening their doors at 2pm tomorrow for Zips fans. 2 dollar domestic bottles, 2 dollar 18 oz Labatt Blue drafts, 3 dollar bombs, 4 dollar irish car bombs, 9.99 half slab of ribs with salad and fries, and more....ALL NIGHT. It's only steps from the Clevelander and has owners that actually respect Zips fans. Stop by before the game, you won't be disappointed.

As i stated before, there was nothing before 2002 that was that memorable. Our MAC tournament games before that were largely early exits or wins against teams that played horrendous and blew it.

Statistically it is harder but on a game-by-game basis of course it doesn't matter. Akron is a better team than Can't (or any team in the MAC) PERIOD. If we play our game we beat any team in this conference 10 straight times...let alone 3.

Oh come on, whoever voted for "other" and didn't explain can't just leave us hanging like that! Just in case I couldn't remember one, I looked up every box score/recap from every MAC Tournament game we've ever been in and couldn't find one more game that was close or even had a good story line. Hence the top five instead of the usual top 10.

My prediction: Two Can't starters miss game due to disorderly conduct charges from Justin Greene's party last night (it was a good party)...Zips win by 45.

If you want a great bar that ALWAYS has good deals, check out Wilberts (next to the Thirsty Parrot)...it's a fairly big place (bigger than the Clevelander) and has 2 dollar domestic bottles at all times, as well as various other deals especially for happy hour. Gotta agree....while the 5 dollar pitcher deal isn't bad, if that's it then that is ridiculous. I went in there today before the game expecting a few decent deals, but couldn't believe that was all there was. Also, not one Akron thing hanging up in the entire place....Flannery's has window paint with "Let's Go Can't State" across their entire front. Terrible. It's mind blowing how bad UA drops the ball with this stuff every year.

Great game...very entertaining. Just couldn't grab that last rebound and gave them a free second chance. Kind of odd that Ruper didn't see the floor in the second half and had ZERO points. What happened?!

Ouch, not one bracket is right now....at least it was proof that Murphy didn't deserve the CotY award.

Trust me, I wanted BG over Ohio and into the semi's but we all voted and i lost out...still I think BG is the dark horse to make it out of that side of the bracket even if they have to win four games to do it.

exactly...Watt was actually my pick but Witherspoon and Dambrot were who i thought it would come down to...not Murphy. Seriously WTF? The guy's team limped into the MAC Tourney and got to play the MAC West for 10 of his games. I'd say his team underperformed!
